About this listen

Are we alone? It was only a matter of time before the truth was revealed....

Commander David Bryce is scheduled to lead a routine re-supply run for the Orbital Development Group (ORB) to the fledgling colony on Mars. Without warning, he’s taken away by government agents and told the mission parameters have changed.

They’ve discovered something. And it’s drifting closer to Earth.

Atlas Donovan tirelessly hunts for an artifact, and tracks the piece to Lake Como, Italy. After the recent news from ORB, Atlas is more drawn to the trail than ever. He continues his search, determined to uncover the significance of the strange markings, and more importantly, where the artifacts hail from.

As both Atlas and David draw near to their objectives, they realize a secret organization is working against them; a clandestine force with so much influence, they seem impossible to oppose.

Are we alone?

No, and they’ve been here before....

This one is like watching a movie. Plenty of action with characters you actually are concerned with!

Really good Book

Help my attention all the way through and left me one more. It was very unpredictable and I loved that in the book. I want to go ahead and preorder 2nd one I hope the author keeps up the suspensful writing.

Awesome listen

A bit difficult for me to "get into"; but once I did, the story really picked up.
I love the caracters and the story it self

It's a bit "scary" and I had to stop listening when it was "dark".
Couldn't sleep when my heart was "skipping"... lol...

And then at the end, the story took one "extra scary turn" !!

This is no an ET story !!
(No misunderstood Aliens here ... !!! )

I would put this story as a "sci fi horror book".

Sci Fi Horror ...

I would equate it to a B+; entertaining enough, action sequences were easy to follow, any violence moved the story forward without being gratuitous, and there were a couple good twists. I could have used more complexity with the science, but it was pretty good overall. Maybe the first book is just laying the foundation to more complexity later on? Ray Porter is a rockstar narrator, as always.

Good enough to continue

The book started out well with a lot of intrigue but it fails for me on many points:

The science is all over the map and doesn’t seem well thought out

Many of the characters are way too stereotypical and bad cliches like a video game into

Several characters defy themselves with no second thought like earlier actions didn’t happen. I found them unbelievable.

No answers at all are to be learned about any of the characters or the enemies.

Even Ray Porter couldn’t save this book for me and that’s saying a lot.

Great performance of a poor story

Atlas and David’s stories don’t mesh. Not even at the end. Nothing seems viable. Not something I would waste my time on again or even read the next book in the series. To much hype over this book. Slow passed with nothing exciting or thought provoking.

Could have been a good book

Sometimes I don't want to write a review, I just want to rate it. Why oh why aufible do you put a minimum word limit to rate a story?

Very good

fun listen to pass time on a long ride, but not a ground breaking sci-fi by any stretch. story unfolded very predictably like it was written to be a movie. the whole, 'now you're on our team so we'll give you all the missing back story in one scene' stuff kinda made it cheesy.

fun but not super original

Really nothing too original happening in this story. As sci-fi goes, this is pretty well tread territory. Ray Porter is a top tier narrator but even he wasn’t able to breathe much life into this.

enjoyable enough

The story kept me on the edge of my seat and Ray Porter knocked his performance out of the park, as I knew he would. I absolutely recommend.

10/10. I absolutely recommend.
