About this listen

From million-copy best-selling author Jasper T. Scott

They have arrived.

AD 2150: Chris Randall just lost his job as a bodyguard. That night, after picking up his wife, Bree, from her shift at a local casino, he breaks the bad news.

Moments later, thunder cracks the sky, but there’s no lightning. Flaming debris rain across the valley, and a dark mass goes sailing out of the clouds, headed straight for LA.

It’s not one of the Union’s starships, because they can’t defy gravity like that. But then, what is it?

The answer chills both Chris and Bree to their cores: It’s an invasion.

They have to pick up their kids and get away from the city. But the Randalls soon discover that nowhere is far enough away to keep them safe.

Well done earth invasion sci fi

Jasper T Scott can be counted on to write a great story. This first book in a new series is well done. The characters are unique and the mysteries within the story are mind teasers and mind benders!

Jonathan Davis does an excellent job with the narration. He has a pleasant voice and can play to many different voices believably.

Excellent Syfy!

The story is well written, and well performed. It’s intriguing and really bends the mind to the possibilities of life out there. Can’t wait to get the next book.

Flawed hero

This book involves a future where the haves and have not's are separated by a wide gap. A body guard is replaced my robot guards just before an invasion by alien forces. He must work to protect not only his own family but also the family of the family who fired him.

Interesting concept of an alien invasion and the interaction between the humans involved.

The narration was outstanding

Been there Done that…

I couldn’t help but get the feeling that I had read this story before…the story started out well enough but just got uninspired.

2150??

This is supposed to be in 2150? The author lacks imagination. Without giving spoilers I have to say according to this authors version of "technology" in 2150, humans must have had a huge lack of desire to advance any thing beyond maybe 20 years from now. This is more like 2050 with some "service bots".
If, in 175 years, we haven't gone beyond shot guns and Glocks, gas engines and gas fueled trucks, electric charged Tesla Suvs, kids still carrying backpacks, hand held suitcases and canvas carrying-ons, remote garage door openers, just to name a few, then we deserve to be invaded and laughed at.
