About this listen

NAACP nominee and USA Today best-selling author Beverly Jenkins continues her beloved Blessings series with a new heartwarming novel set in Henry Adams, Kansas.

Malachi “Mal” July has run into trouble in the past. With a reputation as a player, he’s now a recovering alcoholic and has made progress in redeeming himself in the eyes of his family and the citizens of Henry Adams, Kansas. He’s not only turned his diner into a profitable business, but also mentors the town’s foster kids. And he’s even staying true to one woman - Bernadine Brown.

But all it takes is a moment of pride to blind Mal to his blessings - a moment that makes him betray his friends and family, and lose Bernadine’s trust and love. Will he ever be able to win her forgiveness?

Meanwhile homecoming weekend is fast approaching, and store owner Gary Clark is reunited with his high school sweetheart. All it takes is a few minutes for them to realize the spark is still there, but is it too late for second chances?

A little help from the good people of Henry Adams may give both Mal and Gary the best second chance at the happiness they missed the first time around…

Awful Reader!!

Great continuation of Henry Adams saga. Reader of last several books much better. Difficult to differentiate characters in this book because reader use same annoying voice for too m as many, e.g. all children s as Nd all females except Bernadine!!

each time a great one

I love my visits to Henry Adams each time I can. with this installment we picked up where Mal messed up. in this story I cried a lot as I listened to Mal going through the five stages of grief from his bad decision. in the end the Henry Adams family ALWAYS comes through for one of their own. Miz B you have done it again

We Need A TV Series

The narrator changed Devin's name to Devon and at times seemed to confuse the voices of the characters. The only improvement would be to have a man do make voices. Otherwise, did not disappoint! I love Henry Adams!

Second Time Sweeter

I love this book and this author. With each installment, I wish there was a town or community like Henrietta. I hope it won't be a long wait for the next installment.

A HOME RUN

As always, each time I finish a “Blessings “ novel I feel like I’m leaving behind old friends and familiar places. I have withdrawal pains waiting for the next edition to be published.
This was my first audible performance experience.I found it somewhat unpleasant. I would have preferred a simple reading rather than trying to put voice to each character because at some point several of the characters became undistinguishable from one another.
Overall this is a wonderful book and for those who like the audible performance style, they will enjoy it all thee more.

Interesting

I am a fan of Ms Jenkins and Henry Adams but had difficulty getting through the story primarily due to the narration. Looking forward to the expansion of the teen's story.
