About this listen

In the second book in the Love Under the Big Sky series from this USA Today best-selling author of the With Me in Seattle series, life in Montana gets spicy when a woman and her divorce lawyer sign off the papers - and sign on to love.

Now that his best friend, Josh, has happily settled down with his true love on a Montana ranch, small-town lawyer Ty Sullivan starts thinking that maybe single life isn't all it's cracked up to be. And when Lauren Cunningham's no-good ex-husband comes after her for an unexpected trust fund, Ty steps in to protect her. But soon he can't help but think of her as more than a client. Lauren's in no mood to jump into another relationship, so how can Ty convince her that her mistake wasn't getting married, but marrying the wrong guy?

Seducing Lauren

I loved Seducing Lauren as a book, and I can honestly say that I love the audio just as much. Deacon Lee and Elizabeth Louise definitely do justice at bringing Ty and Lauren to life. I can't say enough great things about this book!

Better than the first

Really liked Ty. He was a very good person, who became so even though his beginnings weren't easy. Just the right man for Lauren. I liked her as well. So glad he didn't have the jerk tendencies that his friend seemed cumbered with in the first book.

Beautiful!

This story was beautiful!

I very much enjoyed how they got together, slow and simple. The epilogue was gorgeous!

Kristen is a great writer and I really liked the little nod to the With Me In Seattle Family in the middle!

Hot romance between lawyer Ty and writer Lauren

The plot revolve around Ty and Lauren’s romance and the threats from Lauren’s abusive, greedy ex-husband. Plenty of romance and hot sex and lots of interaction with the 2 other couples in the series as well as other town people.
Deacon Lee’s narration works as Ty but Elizabeth Louise sound like a simpering Littell girl at times which is very annoying. The domestic abuse in the storyline is handled with sensitivity but it is disappointing that there is no discussion about counseling for both Lauren and Ty as well a sister Jillian. Maybe in the next book. A bit overpriced for a credit but would have been a great choice for the Escape Package.

Not enough passion

I like the part about domestic violence. Women need to know there is a way out.

Never judge a book by its cover

What does Deacon Lee and Elizabeth Louise bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrators helped the book feel much more real. You get to hear it the way that Kristen's intended it to be.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I like the book title just fine :). I find it hard to find the books made movies when they change the title.

Any additional comments?

I’ve been a Kristen Proby fan since I read the Seattle series, then went onto the Boudreaux series. I have to admit that I stayed away from these books for a while because I saw it was from her earlier days and the book covers didn’t look much like the series that I was used to so I assumed it wouldn’t be something that I loved – I was SOO wrong. This book was amazing!!! Kristen never ceases to amaze me. Her writing skills are spot on – so detailed. I felt like I was watching a movie. Lauren and Ty’s story was great! Lauren was a divorced writer with an abusive ex-husband that wasn’t done tormenting her and Ty was a lawyer and small town acquaintance. Their love formed quickly after the divorce was final and Ty felt it was finally time to make his intentions known. There are tons of drama like catty new girlfriends, attempted murder, break-in, millionaire females and amazing male and female characters. I love listening to the process of Lauren writing, I imagine that it must be how Kristen writes – talking to her characters as she goes along. This is a MUST MUST read. This first book in this series was pretty good – but this was AMAZING! I can’t wait to get to book 3! My favorite part about reading Kristen’s books is that she leaves enough mystery on the other characters to make you want to read their books too – WITHOUT leaving any cliffhangers. Each book has a happy ending and in the subsequent book we get to check in on the main characters from the previous book.
