Publisher's summary

Molly Harper is back with the next wickedly funny, wildly enchanting Mystic Bayou novel - available in audio first!

Sonja Fong isn’t afraid of a little chaos. As director of the League’s research center in Mystic Bayou, a tiny town in Louisiana that’s home to supernatural creatures and humans alike, she’s responsible for making sure things run smoothly. It’s not an easy task when her daily memos include lines like “new equipment is needed because the old equipment was destroyed by a temper tantrum involving dragonfire.”

Her job puts her in the path of Dr. Will Carmody, a mysterious shifter who’s returned to Mystic Bayou after a long absence only to find that he’s now considered an outsider. To make matters worse, the rift - a tear in the fabric of the universe that is leaking supernatural energy into the bayou - is unraveling at an alarming rate. Now Sonja and Will must team up to fix the rift and save Mystic Bayou from certain disaster, all while their own romance is heating up. Can they have a future together while the whole world is falling apart?

Finally an Asian-ish woman

As much as I love listening/ reading romance novels, we don't get enough women of different color as the main character. Loved how Sonja Fong wasn't overly sexualized in the standard Asian "exotic" way that most main stream media/ arts do it. Good listen overall!

Molly Harper = Amazing author

I love these books so much!! The series is not only a romantic comedy, but also a mystery. I love learning more about each relationship born from the books prior and how each leading lady is involved with trying to solve the riddle of the uncontrollable rift. A must read!!

I love Mystic Bayou!

So what can I say about the Mystic Bayou stories that I haven't already said? I simply, seriously, love Mystic Bayou... the odd neighbors, the magical qualities of many of its residents, and it's where pie isn't served for breakfast, unless you get a side of bacon to go with it! LOL
I couldn't wait to listen to this, putting everything aside just to get a good giggle! In this story, it's Sonja Fong's time to shine. If you'll remember, Sonja arrived in town at the end of Love and Other Wild Things... Oh, by the way don't start the series with this book, it's best to read it AFTER you've read its predecessors in the series. Sonja's ordered life is about to be turned upside down as her boss, and best friend Jillian Ramsey, has an impromptu meeting with a new guy in town, a Doctor Will Camody...
The voice performances of both narrators are spot on and team up to become my very favorite duo! (So cute! 😊)

Mystic Bayou Madness

Yet another great romp into the complexities that make this series so enjoyable. If one is a true fan of Molly Harper this yet another must have Audible for your permanent library.
once again Amanda Ronconi has given a stellar performance.
Now add in an excellent Male Narrator (Jonathan Davis)). You get even a richer Audible production. Hence the five star rating.
Please keep this series going.
