About this listen

London: December 1888. The notorious and as-yet undiscovered genius, Vincent van Gogh, presents Sherlock Holmes with a most unusual case. Aided by his partner Dr. Watson and his paramour Irene Adler, the trio embark on a rousing adventure and find themselves confronting the evil daughter of Professor Moriarty. With a helping hand from Oscar Wilde, the world's greatest detective attempts to solve one of the most audacious crimes of the Victorian era and uncover a post-impressionist conspiracy.

Performance is awful - not only is the attempt at an English accent totally miserable, the story line makes a feeble attempt to mix and match snippets from Holme's various adventures - a bit like mixing colours from an artist's pallets and ending up with brown. I lasted 30 minutes - utter dribble.

Shocking!

A delightful romp, filled with references to the canon and known names (Van Gogh, Oscar Wilde, Paul Gaugin...) that will make you laugh non-stop.

I meant, there's a sword battle between Irene Adler and Marie Cartier, the daughter of Moriarty! While Holmes watches, because Watson might have been taking some literary liberties when enumerating Holmes' capacities :P

What can I say? I really took a liking to these stories and I'm enjoying them thoroughly. :D

So much fun!
