About this listen

I've agreed to work for a Demigod. My job? Find the spirit of his mother and release her before his vengeful father finds out and kills us all.

Have I lost my mind?

Thankfully, I don't have to do it alone. Kieran has brought in help: a Necromancer who loves to flirt with danger. Bria can help me find the clues to free Kieran's mom.

She can also help me learn my potent and extremely terrifying magic.

But as we work deeper into magical San Francisco, we uncover a minefield waiting to explode. I'm learning that there are far worse things than death.

Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

Performed by Yenni Ann, Yasmin Tuazon, Alex Hill-Knight, Holly Adams, Lena Lee, Robb Moreira, Rayner Gabriel, Gabriel Michael, Bradley Foster Smith, Danny Gavigan, David Cui Cui, Donald Guzzi, Earl Fisher, Gregory Linington, Julienne Irons, Kay Eluvian, LaMont Ridgell, Laura C. Harris, Lise Bruneau, Marni Penning, Matthew Pauli, Michael Glenn, Michael John Casey, Nanette Savard, Shanta Parasuraman, T. Shyvonne Stewart, Wyn Delano, and Zeke Alton.

I switched from the audible to the graphic audio version going into the second book. The narrator of the graphic audio makes the character sound so incredibly immature. It makes the story almost painful. I enjoyed the first book and so I continued on. I may try switching back to audio versus the graphic audio to see if that helps.

didn't care for the graphic audio narrator

The writing and banter in this story is hilarious, I love it. I love all the narration except the MMC. He sounds way too old and his inflections and line delivery doesn’t seem to fit. When I read the books, Kieran sounded like an arrogant, super hot sort of male. This recording has me cringing each time he talks because he sounds like her dad or grandpa.

Love this story

The graphic audio version is well done. They brought the story to life! Great story with lots of entertainment.

Very good

I love graphic audio but the casting on this was off. The male main character is supposed to be sexy but the voice sounds like an elderly man and it just ruins the whole ‘sexy vibe’.

Not the best casting

I like the story love the cast. Don't get me wrong I love the main Female character voice but once and awhile she gets to nasaly sometimes which gets on my nerves like she over does it sometimes like a whiney nasal. I like her 90% of the time she has a unique voice I enjoy. Love Jack's voice. And all the men. Thoroughly enjoy Bria. A Lot! she gives the humor part that is needed to the story. I hope that there will be branches to the story. I love ALL the side characters. Hope their voice actors stay the same if so. I liked the story I had bought all the G-Audio's of this series after the first book. That says alot I usually do not spend so much money. I am not rich. But love the cast and story.

Enjoyable

I couldn't get past the production and focus on story. It was so very distracting. The haphazard change of accents in one character was disorienting.

I hated the full production

I loved book one, orated by Khristine Hvam. This second book dramatized adaptation, however, is the worst. The background music is distracting. The orators are too dramatic to be believable, let alone try to resonate with. Their deliveries were annoying and overall took away from the story. I got through two chapters before stopping and buying the regular version. A mistake I won't make again.

Story is great, but dramatized audio is awful

I love this series and the original narrator was outstanding. I couldn’t finish this version. The background noise was unnecessary and the actors voices didn’t match the characters descriptions.

Too Much Noise
