About this listen
Orphaned. Trained to fight. Raised to fear the power of Underhill. Secretly in love with a man who doesn’t want me.
I’m still just Alli, aka the half-human orphan fae, but my life is looking up for the first time. It only took me my whole 24 years.
But when Underhill—the ancestral home of the fae—shatters, making it impossible for any fae to enter, I’m the only one who knows who did it.
A secret that will be the death of me if I do nothing.
A brutal madness spreads through the fae as they lose their connection to Underhill, and to save my people, my only choice is to leave all I have fought for and go on the run.
Unless I figure out how the hell magic that has existed since the dawn of time was destroyed with a single touch, well, an entire life spent fighting to prove myself isn’t going to mean anything at all. I must find the answer to the riddle of Underhill’s shattering.
Hunted by the very man I loved once upon a time.
Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

Russo, Renee Dorian, James Lewis, Niusha Nawab, Alejandro Ruiz, Christopher Williams, Megan Hastie, Belsheber Rusape, Jonathon Church, Grace Srinivasan, Rob McFadyen, Yenni Ann, James J. Story
On the worst birthday of my life, I come home to find my boyfriend in bed with another woman. Within hours, I’m drunk, homeless, and pledging to stay single forever. And that is when the dangerously sexy Seelie King rolls through town, looking for fae like me. Every generation, the king holds a competition for Seelie queen. But for reasons he won’t explain, Torin is looking for a charade, not a real marriage. So when I drunkenly sling insults his way, I have his attention.

I never thought I'd be singing happy birthday to myself in a dungeon. And yet when a sinfully sexy demon crashes happy hour, that's exactly what happens. He’s known as the Lord of Chaos, and he’s mistaken me for my succubus doppelgänger. Happy birthday to me. When he tastes my blood, he finally understands I’m mortal. And I realize we have something in common: We both crave revenge. So we make a deal

Story
Eighteen-year-old Trinity may be going blind, but she can see and communicate with ghosts and spirits. Her gift is the reason she’s been in hiding for years in a compound guarded by Wardens—shape-shifters who protect humankind from demons. If the demons discover the truth about Trinity, they’ll devour her to enhance their powers. When Wardens from another clan arrive with reports that something is killing both demons and Wardens, Trinity’s world implodes. Not the least because one of the outsiders is the most annoying and fascinating person she’s ever met.

Story
Some people are ordained for greatness. Those people usually have a lot of drama in their life. Drama I happily do without. I live in a forgotten corner of nowhere for a reason: there is safety in anonymity. I have enough problems just trying to get by. But when Kieran, a sinfully sexy demigod at the pinnacle of power, crashes into my life, suddenly my whole world is turned upside down. He’s harboring a deadly secret, one that could destroy all he holds dear. He thinks I’m the key to his salvation, and he wants me to help him claim vengeance. He also wants me with a passion.

Story
My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods...or monsters. I still can't decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me. Then there's Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn't felt anything for a hundred years. But there's something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what's broken in me. Which could spell death for us all.

The elves come for two things: war and wives. In both cases, they come for death. Three-thousand years ago, humans were hunted by powerful races with wild magic until the treaty was formed. Now, for centuries, the elves have taken a young woman from Luella's village to be their Human Queen. To be chosen is seen as a mark of death by the townsfolk. A mark nineteen-year-old Luella is grateful to have escaped as a girl. Instead, she's dedicated her life to studying herbology and becoming the town's only healer. I couldnt care less about the story
While this book was funny at times, it had so much potential but the writing did a terrible job at making me care about any of the characters. Even the main character! I read the whole big and did not give a rats azz what happened. Did not shed one tear (and I am a big crier). Some part of me wonders if maybe it’s because of the dramatized adaptation? The FMC was great but she had this nonchalance that made everything seem light and fine instead of sad. Idk… not reading more past this. And definitely don’t expect a love story… there was none of that here.

Couldn't stand MFC voice
I tend to read a book and then listen to the audio version. I didn't do that with this book, and instead, just went right for the graphic audio version. Maybe that's where I went wrong. The story had potential, but I could NOT stand the MFC's voice. It didn't seem to fit the character at all, IMHO. I won't be purchasing the second audio book. I'm contemplating buying the actual book and reading it, though. Maybe I'll find that better.

Loved the story
I enjoyed the story and the twists and turns and court intrigue. I thought the narrators did a great job with it. Thankfully the series is complete and I don’t have to wait for book 2.
