About this listen

My billionaire boss needs me to do something absolutely crazy.

He wants me to pretend we’re engaged.

But I can’t say no, or he’ll lose his daughter and I’ll lose my job.

Fine then. I’ll wear his stupid ring. I’ll be the perfect fiancée for one month.

There’s only one problem. I don’t want to stop pretending.

Housekeeper for a stunningly handsome, male-model billionaire? Yep, that’s my job and it’s as dreamy as it sounds. I get to live in his ridiculously huge mansion, and all I have to do is take care of his mom and daughter, who are practically family. To top it off, the notoriously bossy Mr. King has been away for business since I started.

But he came home today.

Liam King looks like he stepped out of a GQ magazine, and the way he undresses me with his eyes should be illegal. He ignites my body. Every part of it. But It doesn’t matter how tempting he is. I can’t have him.

I can’t risk my job. Even if a guy like him was actually interested in a twenty-two year old virgin like me, I can’t give in. I’ve been in enough relationships to know how they all end: disaster. And if I lose my job, I lose the closest thing to a family I’ve had since my mother passed.

But a fake engagement doesn't really count as a relationship… Right?

**This is a full-length, standalone fake marriage romance. No cheating or cliffhangers, and as always, Happily Ever After guaranteed.

The narrators were fine. The story was a bit jumpy. And unbelievable for my taste.

Overall just okay

Liked the story

Aubrey is loving her job being a care taker of her unknown boss's daughter and mother. But on the day she met Liam, she is head over hills. Liam's ex-wife wants to take his daughter away, so he and Aubrey have to fake their relationship to look good for the lawyers, and things aren't working as they planned. Include the fact that they're starting to fall in love with each other.

The romance aspect of the story is actually quite nice. I like that it's sexy and cute. It came to a point where I just want them to be together already.

The overall story though, fell short for me though. I like the villains in the story but I feel like it's just not impressive as I thought it would be. I thought the story was just okay for me.

Don't get me wring, it's good! I also feel like they breezed through the resolution, and rushed to the ending.

Sexy and cute

This book was better than I expected it to be. I liked the drama of the custody case. I only wished there was more steam or the scenes were more descriptive.

Good with nice HEA

I like the the story as a whole, but I wanted to dip out every time the Denali narrator talked! She couldn’t do a least a little effort when speaking like the male lead. Also she sounded as thought she had excessive wetness in her mouth that made me want to cringe.

Good story but the female narrator needs work

A little slow in the beginning, but it did grab my interest and I found it to be very enjoyable.

Great book

An a for effort. Sorry no pun intended. But it needs more work. I tried to listen as long as I could but a billionaire would have security guard's and a he'll for lawers. But the plot was good. Also the readers did the best they could do with it.

I give it a 3

it was OK to pass the time but too much unrealistic details.

so the ex boyfriend and the social worker happen to be in just the right places each time. the police don't believe them and accuse them of lying. the mom and daughter hate everyone but her. no one does a house check to the ex wife.

this is a great work of fiction. meaning most of it would never happen. ok if you are wanting a fairy tale, but I like some realistic details in my stories.

very weakly written in my opinion.

A little far fetched... in many ways

female narrator is choppy and the inflections need improvement. Male narrator is very good.

female narrator needs work.

It’s a sweet story and the narrators did a great job. That being said, the story is PAINFULLY cliche. Its your basic love story; boy meets girl, they fall in love, ex-partners cause trouble, they deal with the problems, and all is well. It’s great if you want a quick lighthearted story but not so much if you want a story with real substance.

Sweet but predictable
