I like the story and the narration was mostly good, except the way she says Luc. Kate is supposed to be from New York, but she says Luc with a French accent. It's weird and takes me out of the story.

I am surprised that there isn’t a real bad guy. It’s more of a romance without suspense. The difference between these early books and the later ones is interesting, especially on how they recognize their life mates and complications from sex. But since I didn’t read the series in order it makes it interesting to see how those two things developed in the author’s mind.

Like Lindsey sands and her argeneau series. But I can’t stand this authors accent. It consistently took me out is the story How there are other narrators got the next books.

Loved it. I have been to that RT convention and it is just as described. Poor Luke. This is an awesome listen. Narrator is wonderful

I enjoyed the book, I’ve read years ago, I enjoyed it then and listening to the book now, I like it better. I just wish Lucern could have bitten her boss as payback.

I was surprised I couldn't get into the story easily. I was less impressed with this story because the main character was so surly. I couldn't find myself liking him. It was difficult believing someone, anyone, could find him irresistible enough to want to spend eternity with such a curmudgeon. The author is amazing, so I still would recommend any book she writes, but, for me, it wasn't knocked out of the park.

Read the novel years ago and this narrator does an excellent job. if you like your paranormal tomance funny and a bit spicy, but this ASAP. If you go to fan conventions, there are lirs if inside stories you can relate to being similar to your experiences.

This is actually the book that introduced me to the series (I had to go back and read the first two afterward). I love Lucern and Kate as a couple. I thought they had a ton of chemistry and I could not wait to listen to this again with a new narrator...but that was the problem for me. I still have the original Audiobook and I think the narrator there was much better. The male voices with this narrator and not the good and kind of messed up the listening experience for me. Other than that, I still love the book and the series!
