About this listen

USA TODAY bestselling author, Trilina Pucci brings you the finale of Sutton and Calder’s heart wrenching love story.

We’ll never run away.

There won’t be stars or a blue sky filled with heaven staring down on us.

All we have is death and destruction.

A life sentence, forced to survive within the absence of our love.

Until five years later.

“Death isn’t waiting for Calder—it’s listening for his instruction.”

Sinning like Hell is the continuation of book one, Just like Heaven.

Book One must be listened to in order to understand Book Two.

What an amazing story!! And the narration by Angelina and Connor is just absolutely the best!!! I had this book on my shelf forever and glad I waited to read it with the narration! It was fantastic and my favorite Romeo and Juliet like story! Loved the ending sooooo much!! All the stress to get there was worth it!

This has to be one of the best Romeo & Juliet reimagining I’ve ever read. The narrators did a phenomenal job. Serious romantic and dark.

Even in Death… this series was an emotional roller coaster. The narrators were on point! The ending tho… it gutted me. 😭 Chefs kiss!!

Wow! Where can I find that witch?!?

This was the exact brutal, beautiful conclusion I needed—and I’m literally in tears writing this. After that cliff hanger from Just Like Heaven pissed me off again, this book delivered on every ounce of pain, passion, and payoff I’d been holding my breath for.

Angelina Rocca and Connor Crais returned as Sutton and Calder with even more emotional grit and raw power. The way they voiced those five years of heartbreak, rage, and unresolved love? Devastating in the best way. Their performances hit me straight in the chest—again. Give them all the awards, truly.

This wasn’t some fairytale reunion. There were no stars, no happy skies—just blood, vengeance, and two people who never stopped being each other’s obsession. Calder didn’t just survive—he became something terrifying and glorious, and Sutton matched him every step of the way. Their love was never soft—it was scorched earth. And yet, somehow, it still felt like home. Trilina Pucci gave us a love story for the damned and made it unforgettable. I’m wrecked. I’m full. I’m obsessed.

Very good story. Pleasantly surprised. Mafia take on Romeo and Juliet. Lots of twist and turns. I loved the HEA and how they showed their lives down the years together. Well worth the credit. Both narrators did an excellent job. I will definitely listen to this again.

Trilina Pucci takes readers through an absolute journey with the second installment of The Star-Crossed Series. As stated in my review for Just Like Heaven, the duet performance by Angelina and Connor is unmatched. I sat in silence for a good 30 minutes before I could compose myself after listening. What a beautiful ending.

A Beautiful Conclusion for Star-Crossed Lovers

Good lord does Trilina Pucci know how to write an epic love story. This book had me all over the place. I laughed, I cried, I blushed, and I had goosebumps. I'm going to be thinking about this one for a long time to come. This is the type of book that makes you feel like you are really missing out on something in life. 5/5 stars - I would place this one in my top 5 or 2025 for sure.

Goosebumps and tears! This rocked me!

This was a remarkable duet that had my heart feeling all of the fated soulmate energy, Calder and Sutton are a modern day Romeo & Juliet. Trilina truly captured a tragic love story for the modern ages.

Angelina Rocca & Connor Crais equally give, what I can only simply say, are the best performances I’ve heard from them as individual actors. And as a duet team? How are these two not cast together more often?

Angelina embodies the innocence and resilience of Sutton in all her forms: as a young woman, as a woman who falls for the bad boy, and as a woman who is surviving in a personal hell. Determination, adoration, and passion sing in her performance. Not only is Angelina exquisite as Sutton, she captures the Sutton’s mom in a way that made my skin crawl. She had me cackling as she voiced Sutton’s closest girlfriends.

Connor as Calder? This is tied for first place with his performance in a recent Bourbon book. The portrayal of a man who will go to the depths of his own hell for the other half of his soul? I felt it. This is one of the grittiest and rawest performances I’ve heard from Connor, and his male voices are distinct and on point. He had me sobbing at the very end.

Angelina & Connor give their best performances!
