  • How to sell lots of music... without being obnoxious or turning people off
  • Are you a musician over 40? Why age doesn't matter anymore...
  • Proven, word-for-word "scripts" and emails that get people to buy your music

Many Great tips and very up to date tactics

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I loved this book. As a musician always looking for tips and ideas to grow your audience this helps. there is not a lot of story per say but it has a lot of tips for the indie artist of today. Many times I read books that have dated info and this has stuff for the online age of music tips. definitely worth the time of reading.

Full of Great Marketing Ideas

This book takes it's sweet time getting to the goods, but around 1/3 of the way through I started taking notes and wound up with 5 whole pages of marketing ideas and fundamentals. Considering this book is from 2013, the author did a great job of writing in such a way that it doesn't really contain any information that is out of date. I like the way this book breaks down marketing into a simple set of goals that are definitely achievable. Make 1000 big fans who spend $100 a year by making them feel special and appreciated, and you will be making $100K/year gross income. Broken down in this way, making a living as a musician seems like a possible goal rather than the vaporous dream of fame and fortune that most people make it out to be. Excellent book,

Sound Advice

Speaking as someone who is not only a musician but also has years of project management experience in the tech industry, Hopper provides extremely practical advice. He even references productivity concepts like Pomodoro and Pareto’s principal. This reads like a handbook for the modern musician.
