A Gotrek & Felix novel

Between adventures and desperate for money, Gotrek and Felix work as sewerjacks in Nuln. Little do they know that villainous skaven lurk in the darkness, planning to tear down the mighty city....

Listen to it because

It's classic Gotrek and Felix which introduces a threat that will follow them throughout their heroic careers and even threaten Gotrek in his second life in the Mortal Realms: the sinister Grey Seer Thanquol.

The story

Gotrek and Felix: unsung heroes of the Empire or nothing more than common thieves and murderers? The truth perhaps lies somewhere in between and depends entirely upon whom you ask.

Seeking to undermine the very fabric of the Empire with their arcane warp-sorcery, the skaven, twisted Chaos rat-men are at large in the reeking sewers beneath the city. Led by Grey Seer Thanquol, the servants of the Horned Rat are determined to overthrow this bastion of humanity. Against such forces, what possible threat can just two hard-bitten adventurers pose?

Can't believe this... possibly my favorite book of all time. I'm so happy to see it done in an audiobook.

Favorite book series on audible!?!? WHAT!?!?!

Trollslayer was my introduction to Gotrek and Felix and Skavenslayer is soooo much better. I would even say that new readers are better off starting here and then going back for the prequel shorts. Not particularly Grimdark if you ask me but definitely a good horror/action/fantasy mashup.

Jonathan Keeble does a fantastic job narrating and giving voices. His Skaven voices are delightful and really made me want to get more into that lore.

The story is still episodic with each chapter revealing a new plot by Skaven to be thwarted by G&F, but they tie together very well into a cohesive story. Felix gets some great character development in this one with how he relates to his brother. Gotrek is still pretty 2 dimensional and I’m hoping that the next books reveal more about him and his past. Ideally I’d like to see the story follow him more than it currently is.

Overall, great read!

A better kickoff than the first!

Really really fun and this performance does it all. All skaven characterization and the different social class accents of the empire. Full range

Always good fun but this voice performance wow

As with the first book, the narrator does a fantastic job! The voices he does for the Stephen arm hard to understand and helps make you absolutely despise them. The action scenes are full of gore and excitement but the rest of the book is better than mediocre but not great.

Another entertaining, but slightly boring book

for anyone interested in the old warhammer fantasy world and or the vicious evil minds of skaven master race. each chapter is an exciting and interesting view in the inner works of the skaven clans, weapons, and how each despite being the most deadly of all the races of warhammer their own ambitious nature keeps them down.

an amazing journey of skaven and citys.

Fantastic narrator, wonderful voices. I can feel the influence this had on Vermintide. I can see why people like this series so much.

holy shit, and I thought Trollslayer was good

This is pure brutal sword and sorcery adventure. all the characters are enjoyable even the skaven. The narrator does an amazing job voicing the skaven. if you're looking for a story injection of narrative adrenaline savagery this story delivers.

Hack and Slash Adenture at its finest.
