Very practical information

This information comes from many years of study and application of sound personal financial management principles. The book is also beneficial for single individuals who intend to have a life partner.

Life-changing and great narration!!

This audiobook transformed me from the spouse who can’t stand to talk about money to getting excited about buying a filing cabinet and chatting about 401ks and S&P 500 index funds!

This is a must-listen for anyone. Easy to follow steps and down-to-earth explanations taught me more than I ever thought I could understand about my own financial responsibilities and the investment world. This book isn’t a list of DON’Ts, but an empowering list of things I can DO to set myself and my family up for success.

Voice makes this title impossible to listen to

I hope I can find this title narrated by someone else; I can’t explain why her voice just makes me want to turn this audiobook off after a couple of minutes. I listen to audiobooks every day and for whatever reason this is impossible to listen to. There’s just something about it that completely disconnects the authors words from the narration and I end up turning it off. I really want to read the book and I’m guessing it’s great; and it’s no attack on the narrator outside of this title; I’m sure she’s a great person and all that. But nails on a chalkboard is how this one feels. No idea why. YMMV

Few up's, Large down's

I thought the exercises in a few of the first steps were great and really wish that was the rest of the book. The actual investment strategy is not going to beat a cheap and diverse index funds and constant talk to an advisor recommendations is going to cost a lot more couples from ever being rich than it could ever help. If you are interested in the investing reading "The simple path to Wealth" is so much better that this book could not be forgiven. The part that got me mad enough to actually leave this review is near the end. He is strongly recommending prenuptial which has far more to to with divorced couples ruining the sanctity of marriage and neither will finish rich. Not a book I would ever recommend.
