Publisher's summary

#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts proves that you can’t resist the forces of nature in this heartwarming tale.

When her pregnant sister is restricted to bed rest, Samantha Evans leaves the traffic-choked streets of Philadelphia for the majestic mountains and wide-open plains of Wyoming to help her. And while Samantha can appreciate the natural beauty of the land, she has no plans to stay - even if she's intrigued by Jake Tanner, a wealthy rancher who's left a trail of broken hearts in his wake.

But when a blizzard strands them together, Samantha begins to understand how powerful the pull of the West - and Jake - can be.

Boring for NR!

Besides a dull (not awful) story, the narrator's voice of the male lead sounds like he's 80 so it was difficult to picture a young woman attracted to him.

Arabians

it was a good story after all. I did finish the book. I don't think any rancher in Wyoming writes Arabians on a daily basis checking cows and fence. I tried to get through the book without picturing Jake as an older woman with a smoker's voice.

Lovely romance

Nora Roberts is just wonderful! She never fails to delight with her books. I highly recommend this light love story. Both hero and heroine are really strong characters. Nice balance of humour throughout story.

Typical Nora Roberts

Horrible narrator. You always have a voice in your head on how the characters sound. You, of course, need to adjust with a narrator but this one was so bad I almost couldn’t stand to listen to the whole thing. I won’t purchase another one narrated by her.

Song of the West

I love this book, it makers me want to go to Wyoming and ride all over. Joyce Bean is fabulous as a narrator, and her voice is so deep, she handles the voices very well. Excellent read.

Male interpretation

The readers make voice ruined it. It sounded like she was trying to sound like an old lady. Not romantic

One of my favorites

I have a very well loved paperback copy of this and it’s still one of my favorites to read and the audiobook is just as good! Being an older book of Nora’s and part of am collection it’s shorter and not as elaborate as most of her newer writing. But the story is interesting and fun.

Old fashioned dud of a story!

I have read and enjoyed many books by Ms. Roberts but this one is just silly and so old fashioned I think my mother must have read it back in the 60's! Heroine so immature, Hero sounds like he's an old man, storyline so silly, can no-one ask the other a question or speak up instead of all this imagining what the situation is? All the things I can't stand in a story are unfortunately found in this book! Dud for me!
