Good start, I broke my rule of starting a series when only book 1 is out. I did have to play this at 1.4 speed due to really slow reading (maybe even artificially, how else could 1.4 sound normal). Overall story is good with a legitimate system and world. MC is OP but only compared to his cohort, there are many others characters stronger. There is s risk of so many skills and stats that everything becomes meaningless, but that is for later. No interference with YA yet, hopefully it doesnt enter, also please no school or tournaments in next books or I am out.

This is the first book of its type that I have ever read. Therefore it took a few pages to understand the purpose of stats and levels, but it only took a few pages to be pulled into the story. Just a well written book that left me looking forward to book 2.

Randomly got this and didn’t really know what to expect but it was awesome. Thought it was going to be a full solder’s story but thats actually a pretty small part of this progression fantasy. We end up going dungeon diving, dealing with guilds and religious orders and making new friends and theres just a lot of growth with some mystery going on. Voice acting is top notch. Definitely worth the credit and already waiting for the second one.

Great story! Also if you listen closely at 12:20 of chapter 12 you can hear a discord “ping”. Not a complaint just threw me for a loop

So happy I picked up this book! There is so much more to this book then the summary describes. It not about Orcs just a small section. The book has a lot of substance! The plot is deep. CG narration is amazing and is one my favorite narrators.This is my first time listening to Melanie and was pleasantly surprised, a good match up! The narration done right!!! He did the male voices and she did the women. My only gripe would be the artist for this Cover. It is apparent he did not read or ask questions about the age of this MC and is misleading for the context of this book! Looking forward to the next book!
