I liked this book a lot and hope the second book in this series is made available on Audible very soon. I like how this story progresses, though a bit slow at the beginning. Narrator does a good job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.

This Is a Good Story

Really good and entertaining, I was hesitant at first because with a title like that, I thought it was going to be one of those stories were the mcnid the butt of the joke. but nope straight up action and intrigue looking forward to the next one

Even though I have seen cards and LitRPG mixed before, it still felt original. The game mechanics running the world were very different. The isekai moment at the beginning was well done. It didn’t just skip to the isekai like some books but the moment helped with character development for the MC. Overall it was an enjoyable read. The narrator did a really good job.

Interesting concept

That was great! The author gods and the publisher Archangel followed through by answering my plea, producing a new deck-building litRPG adventure. I've read them all. it's a sub-trope that I dearly love ❤! And Legendary Fool's great, scratching the itch I have for more books of this kind! I wouldn't compare it to other deck-building books, like All the Skills, well... 'cause Dragons of course. But the book is Legendary in it's own right... This is Tom's story a guy that's only willing to do just enough to get by. Never goin out of his way for anyone or anything. And then there was the card Tom received... why was he the recipient of the card the Legendary Fool? Why did the card, the Fool choose him? He really couldn't parse that out. So Tom is thrust into a new reality of Magic and monsters. Where Tom is gonna hafta stop his self centeredness, to embrace the world he now lives in or die.

Wow! Great! Follow Tom as he strives to understand this magical world!

I liked this book. Some of the skills are hard to follow. Just re-listen and it will make sense.

It’s good!

This is sort of book where it's a good read, but you may have to put it down and come back to it, just like you would with the wandering in.And, it has some interesting things when it comes to dealing with the different characters interactions, the main character is finding his footing, and in that way that he does has no understanding of culture or at the subtleties of interaction in the next book, so hopefully the others will be more. I don't want to say interesting, but more fluid in the interactions. Because the way this is done I like the wandering inn the main character. He is trying to get his footing. He doesn't know the world. It reflects that.

A slog put a good slog for people who being reading at the wandering.Inn, it's a warm up for this one

The actual power he gets from his card is super unique and makes a really interesting way to power up. Really well done story gonna keep up when the next book drops.

Unique deck based litrpg

This is the my first experience with a deck building litrpg. It took a while to get into the groove but I found myself enjoying it. The narrator was good, but there were too many mispronounced words to earn a five star. Hearing words like Hyperbole pronounced "hyper-bowl" was an unnecessary distraction. Overall however, it was enjoyable.

My first deck building story

Except for the Deck-Building, the plot is somewhat of a derivative of J.M. Clarke, "Mark of the Fool" where the Fool aspect of the MC actually gives him a unique ability that ends up helping rather than hindering him. The magic mechanics are defined at a very basic level, allowing the MC to level up fairly quickly. Since the MC was spirited away from Earth to this medieval realm and given the Fool brand, the MC is very paranoid about revealing details about his abilities. This makes discussions with others, including his companions somewhat stilted.

I did find the book interesting enough that I had no problem finishing it. However, I'm undecided whether I will continue with the series.

Todd Menesses' performance was good.

It's Just Okay

I was entertained through out. I enjoyed the unique system, but felt the world building could have been fleshed out a little better. Still not sure how the dungeons work as a whole, the tower, the nobles, etc.
My biggest complaint is this written for a web series, meaning it doesn’t feel like a complete story. It just goes on until it’s over. (I know that everything does that) There is no build up, larger conflict, climax, resolution. It just has a “to be continued”

Good as a story bad as a book
