About this listen

Three men are offered a million dollars each if they will spend a month in an isolated Pennsylvania mansion, The Pines. There, they will confront madness, murder, and the ultimate evil so that their billionaire host might find the key to life beyond the grave. But as they learn, dead souls dwell in The Pines. And death is just the beginning.

“Williamson has written a real chiller...an enchanting evocation of evil...crammed with weird insights into a terrifying supernatural intelligence and moments of literally monstrous murder that will make your old nightmares seem tepid and drab.” (Robert Bloch, author of Psycho)

Fantastic

Keeps you guessing until the end.
5* performance as is typical of Chet Williamson. It was nice to hear him tell his own story.

Great narration

This story was quite interesting. It mostly held my attention. If felt a lot like a wonky version of the haunting. A lot of utter strangeness and some ghost sex. I enjoyed the story though it wasn’t necessarily my favorite. Well worth a credit though for the superb narration of the author. Lots of twists and turns with a bit of gratuity thrown in the mix.

Classic Haunted House Story with a Twist.

Soulstorm starts as a classic haunted house story, but ends a nice twist and a cliffhanger that could easily lead into another novel (if it hasn't already). I realize character development is not high on the list of priorities for horror novels, but the main character in Soulstorm was well developed and I would like to have seen further development of some of the other key characters.
Narration was excellent. Authors rarely make good narrators, but Chet Williamson proves that he is the exception.

Creative and wicked

Soulstorm reminds me of The Amityville Horror with a side of The Shining. This book gave me the f-ing chills and I loved it. The book is well written with a creative descriptive storyline. I am so impressed by this author's work that I highly recommend this book. The narrator/author did a fantastic job narrating his own book. I received this book at my request and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review here with a bit of warning DO NOT MISS THIS AMAZING READ.
