About this listen

“From a little spark may burst a flame.” (Dante Alighieri)

A simple ember to dried kindling can ignite a raging fire.

I’ve made my mark and proven my loyalty to a man, a city, and a way of life. That loyalty has provided me with all the spoils of success. For the longest time, that hasn’t included a woman at my side.

There is only one beauty that can bring my untapped desire to life. I shouldn’t have opened the door. Cracking open the stone and striking the flint is my doing. What follows is hers.

With something so intense, will this spark lead to a blazing inferno? Will we make it out of the ashes before everything I hold dear is ravaged?

From New York Times best-selling author Aleatha Romig comes a brand-new dark romance, Spark, set in the same dangerous world as Secrets and Twisted. You do not need to listen to the Web of Sin or Tangled Web trilogy to get caught up in this new and intriguing saga, Web of Desire.

Spark is book one of the Web of Desire trilogy that continues in Flame and concludes in Ashes. Have you been Aleatha’d?

Pretty decent monotone! Enjoyed both Madeline and Patrick's narration, enough to purchase the last two books!

The ending tho!

I haven't enjoyed a book this much since Jordan Marie's Beast and that series. I was so emotional at times. I felt her fear, I knew there was something that kept her from just leaving. I just ready until very close to the end I figured it out. OMG Great job Aletha Roming

This was so good I was I knots

In my opinion, no one does dark suspense romance better than Aleatha. Spark kicked off another captivating and enthralling series which was set in the same dangerous underworld of Chicago as Secrets and Twisted. I was mesmerized by the complex plot and intricate relationships of the characters. There were so many puzzle pieces laying around and my mind was spinning while I was trying to put together the big picture the whole time. This mysterious and suspenseful read grabbed me and have me hooked.

Noah Michael Levin and Savannah Peachwood had brought the story to live.

Twisted and unexpected

Spark was good. I liked it and am so happy to get Patrick's story. I will say that this one is more of a buildup to what will follow in the next two books of this series. I liked that its focused on a poker tournament and a piece of Patrick's past is coming to light and I only want to know more. Madeline is also interesting because we're trying to figure out why she's working for this dangerous man and clearly doesn't have a choice. That ending was crazy good and so unexpected, now I'm dying for the next book.

I definitely liked Savannah Peachwood, she was great. I had a hard time with Noah Levine as Patrick. Something about his voice just wasn't fitting to me and turned me off of Patrick's chapters. It would have been easier to just have Peachwood narrate the entire book.

....I would have gotten the second book, but with cliffhangers - a lot of times I don't even if it's a good story although I have already purchased it, in fact I got all three.

This story is written well and narratived well. Matty and her first love, their past, present, and now future is a tangled mess... I'm glad I purchased all the books together and because I did I will read on, I am looking forward to more of the story.

Yes, it is worth the credit, there is still so much that needs revealing, with all the twists and turns and unknowns not to mention the passion that just started to ignite. .hot and steamy. . .hoping the second book holds my interest like the first.

cliffhanger..... I really wish it wasn't ...

That ending, though. AR knows how to write a killer cliffhanger. I loved this book and will be starting book 2 asap.
