Publisher's summary

There is nothing like the charm of a speaker. Throughout the history of mankind, leaders have resorted to the power of oratory to bring light into the world. If it were not for the speeches made by Socrates, Caesar, Napoleon, JFK, or Tony Robbins, the world would have been a much different place.

Speaking well in public can open many doors for us. From a professional point of view, it can help to increase the possibilities in a job interview, get more credibility and attention in work meetings, obtain better results in an examination, attract clients for a company or project, gain the confidence of your team, and leadership. On a personal level, it also has great advantages, such as feeling more integrated with social groups or in the family environment, getting your opinions to be taken more into account, to be perceived as a more interesting and self-confident person, and asking people out. This book unveils secrets to the art of public speaking. It helps you to be yourself before an audience or a group of people, managing your anxiety to the point of being able to lower it to a minimum, showing naturalness in our non-verbal communication, being able to express your ideas, obtain a great social reinforcement, and self-esteem that is greatly reinforced. If you are looking to alleviate that fear of speaking in front of others, you can learn to improve your communication with the public and change your life.

Learn the techniques of powerful people who can win people’s hearts and achieve their goal by speech. And how much world’s highest rank speakers make money: $35,000-250,000 a speech! Winston Churchill, Barack Obama, Brian Tracy, Oprah Winfrey, Grant Cardone, Les Brown, Eric Thomas, Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins, and many more. Learn their secrets. Learn why people listen to them. Learn why they matter and how you can make your speeches impactful using their secrets.

Solid Information about Speaking as a Profession.

Most books on speaking talk about how to present better. Few offer you the insight into the BUSINESS of speaking. Read this if you are good in front of an audience and have ever wondered if you could be paid to do it full-time. Also, good for experienced speakers, trainers, and consultants who want to pursue additional revenue streams and upgrade their efforts. Highly recommend it if you are interested in speaking professionally!

Profoundly helpful

I'm a new author who needed to start doing talks about my own book and the spotlight used to scare me. I was unsure about this new environment.

Am I ever glad I listen to it! It provides so many practical tips, techniques, and how-to's that were incredibly valuable for my talks. Paul's book helped to shift my mindset on many points around speaking. One of the most valuable things I learned in this book is that the audience actually WANTS me to succeed so that they can relax and enjoy the talk. That alone shifted a lot of my worry and fear.

For anyone wanting to brush up or learn public speaking skills, this book is a MUST.

Definitely worth listening!

Public speaking is like making love. Not knowing how to speak in public generates anxiety. Oral communication contains many personal and contextual parameters that do not allow this systematic approach. Before going further, it may be worth clarifying the terms used throughout this book and the links they have between them. Great job by the author.

Not your typical public speaking book!

This book deals with public speaking, a skill that most executives and leaders will need to employ at some point. I've read a lot of books on this topic, as it's something that I struggle with and this one really resonates with me.

Full of helpful tips

Caryl R. Breton's experience with public speaking provides the reader with useful tips and concrete examples without being "gimmicky". Their book is easy to read and allows you to pick and choose what applies to your particular 'speaking' circumstance. The authors give you lots to think about as you prepare your own speeches, presentations, or lectures. As a university professor, I really got a lot out of the book.
