Publisher's summary

At last, in the novel every Kelley Armstrong fan will need to own, all the major heroines and heroes of Otherworld are united.

It's been 10 years since Bitten, the first novel in Kelley Armstrong's New York Times best-selling Otherworld series. In that time, hundreds of thousands of fans have ravenously devoured the adventures of Armstrong's witches, demons, and werewolves. Now, in Spell Bound, she brings them all together for her most sweeping tale yet.

Savannah Levine is in terrible danger, and for once she's powerless to help herself. At the heartbreaking conclusion of Waking the Witch, Savannah swore that she would give up her powers if it would prevent further pain for a young orphan. Little did she know that someone would take her up on that promise. And now, witch-hunting assassins, necromancers, half-demons, and rogue witches all seem to be after her. The threat is not just for Savannah; every member of the Otherworld might be at risk. While most of her fellow supernaturals are circling the wagons at a gathering of the council in Miami, Savannah is caught on the road, isolated from those who can protect her and unable to use her vast spell-casting talent, the thing she counts on most.

In a story that will change the shape of the Otherworld forever, Armstrong gathers Elena, Clay, Paige, Lucas, Jamie, Hope, and other beloved characters, who soon learn that the greatest threat to supernaturals just may come from within.

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

Another great book!

A war is coming to the Otherworld, and Savannah Levine has lost her magic. Spell Bound is the story of how Savannah learns to cope with life???s trials. This story does contain the whinny growing pains of maturation, but the immature complaining is handled with tact and insight resulting in a journey of growth and understanding instead of indulgent persecutory delusions. Beloved characters such as Adam, Elena, Clay, Paige, Lucas, Jamie, Hope, Cassandra, and Troy are back, and Johanna Parker does a great job with the narration. All and all, this is another wonderful installment from Kelley Armstrong.

spell bound

The book is great and the characters excellent but the "mens" voices sounded all as they were sick old men and not very convincing

No spoilers

Holy he'll what a fantastic book so very well written unbelievably so this author is a true master. So much action suspense, romance. I can't say enough about the writing. Narration was excellent voices unbelievably so so good. The delivery of this story was done extremely well. Highly recommend you listen to it. But you really can't start here all the characters of the previous books make an appearance and it will throw you off . Unfortunately narration on past books are not as good as Ms Parker but well worth the listen. Can't wate for the next book. FYI this book dose end in a cliffhanger. BUT SO WORTH IT TO GET TO NEXT BOOK.

This story will hold your interest until the end

Where does Spell Bound rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In the top half

What was one of the most memorable moments of Spell Bound?

I like the beginning scenes as the book opens...

What does Johanna Parker bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

There are a lot of characters in this books and the narrator brings a distinct voice to each one.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, just found the story interesting (but I'd on only suggest listening to this story after listening to other books in this series first.

Any additional comments?

The story is quite good, however since the author intended to write a story with so many characters, there is not much time spent on each one. Characters make 1 main appearance (may show up briefly later), then they're gone. I like the concept of listening to a book with several characters from other stories all together, but prefer stories with less characters so there could be more detail on the ones that play a part in the story.

Savannah has really come alive

Any additional comments?

I love this series, but this has to be one of the best just because almost all the characters from the series are in this one book!!!! The story revolves around Savannah and Adam, but most all the other characters are in the book to some extent, which was very fun. I can't wait to see what happens next, and I hope the author continues to include a lot of the characters in the future books. Also, Johanna Parker is an excellent narrator :)

✫✫ 5 Stars ✫✫

Oh I love that all of these characters are all working together to save the supernaturals from being outed. Savannah has come so far since the beginning and I'm still waiting for her HEA. I love how much she is learning about herself since not having the powers she has always depended on and I think this will change her from a cocky girl to a tough women. Such a Great book!

Narration is great, Joanna Parker is a great narrator, no matter who the characters are.

Will Savanna Grow-up -- The Big Question

I didn't realize that this series was going to end with a trilogy focused on Savannah. In this second to last book, Savannah finds herself without her powers and really questioning herself about her own self worth. It's a little disconcerting to she her confidence stripped away and then slowly build. Will she admit her feeling for Adam, will she escape? What will happen in the third book?

Okay, Armstrong does a great job with this second of the trilogy and next to last book of the series. This is a must read and I move on with eagerness to the third and last. This is a must read.

Give me More!!!

Loved this!!! There were a few timing issues (dragged a little bit) but the main story was a great continuation of Waking the Witch and leaves the reader very interested in 13. I am really excited to see how everything goes down in 13.

I really liked
-Savannah's character development
-The way all the characters are coming together
-Cassandra
-Adam. He is quickly moving up my book boyfriend list. (don't tell my real one!)

Things that could have been better
-The angsty teen moment
-Slow pacing in the middle

Good story!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Savannah, of course!

Any additional comments?

It's been a while since I read the first books in the series but this book made it easy to catch up and remember what had gone before.
