About this listen

Born to a rarified breed of Russian aristocracy, Kraven the Hunter had stalked and killed every animal known to man and considered himself the world's best big-game hunter. It was this confidence that brought him to New York years ago, in an obsessive quest to hunt what he considered the city's greatest prey: Spider-Man.

But his target eluded him time and again, mocking him at every turn.

Now, after years of crushing defeats against the web-slinger, Kraven has hatched one last plan to best Spider-Man. In a stunning instant of shocking violence, Kraven stands finally triumphant over Peter Parker's seemingly dead body. And to prove that he is the hero's master...Kraven will pull on his costume and become him!

This GraphicAudio® Production is adapted from the graphic novel by J.M. DeMatteis and Mike Zeck.

Fantastic

It's the very best Spider-Man story to be told on graphic audio, excellent wow!
It moved me to tears actually. My heart went out to Kraven. I finally understood him.

To much background noise

The story was very good, but the background sounds, groans and moans was overwhelming. Took away from the story and was quite distracting. I think it wouldve been better with out it. Overall, voice cast was good. Story was very good. 7/10

Love the web slinging sound effects!

The web slinging sounds effects were pretty cool. The story left a little to be desired with the Verman stuff as well as some of the background storyline is was a little excessive.

sound effects galore

sound effects absolutely put this great story to borderline acceptable to me, often times drowning out what else was happening

Story rocks but stream stops

This is a great story and I remember it from the comics and it’s a good adaptation from the comics however for some reason my streaming stops with about 47 minutes left and it won’t finish

Decent story

warning spoilers:

Story little predictable. Spider-Man losses at beginning and wins at end. Story at times a little ridiculous, like Spider-Man is buried underground for two weeks in a tombstone and somehow still lives. Story is also produces an unclean feeling like when Spider-Man battles the villain Vermin at end and he is ingesting all that sewage water as a result of their battle. Also in this battle, Spider-Man is at times exposing his recent cuts and wounds to the sewage water.

Meh..

It was okay. I personally didn't care for Vermin as the secondary villain in this book and found myself being slightly annoyed anytime his dialogue came up. The story seemed kind of slow and I've foundany other Spider-Man books that I enjoyed a lot more than this one.

Its Dark

This is another comic book novelization. This book has dark themes like self doubt, abuse, mortality, fear of failure and it gets really dark. If you are a web head you are really going to enjoy it. If you are a MCU fan i dont think this is your cup of tea.
Happy Reading....

Listening to this make me want to read the Graphic Novel

I love Graphic Audio and a lot of their Marvel adaptations. This is easily one of their best and darkest. I never read the graphic novel before, but I’m now eager to do so. This is a very dark story that’s not for the faint of heart. But it’s very powerful and has a lot of great descriptions that allow to you to envision what’s from the page. The acting, music, & sound design are great. Richard Rohan always crushes it as the narrator. If you’re a Spider-man fan and have never experienced this story before, I highly recommend it if you’re open to a dark psychological thriller.
