By far one of my favorite titles since I can remember. The story, concidering the challenges this particular title had, feels very classic Trek. James Doohan's performance is one of my favorites. Romulans as the antagonists are always fun. The secondary characters are as important to the overall story as your expected stars. Very enjoyable.

Feels like Trek

I actually read the novel Probe years before and remembered enjoying it. James Doohan is someone I heard and enjoyed in audio books before. I missed however the word Adapted which means certain sections of the original novel have been removed. This is very much an abridged novel and it shows in some places.

James Doohan did a good job reading the novel. The voice acting and production qualities are very good. I don't regret my purchase and I think this is a good version of the novel. Overall I do recommend this as a breezy and fun Star Trek novel.

Adaptation is the key word here

Nice to follow up from movie but not really exciting as I’d like it to be.

Solid not exciting

I am glad that I read Star Trek. Ever since I saw Star Trek 4 the Voyage Home I always wanted to know more about the Probe. This answered a lot of my questions. I recommend this book to any Star Trek fan.

Star Trek Probe is an excellent read

The story reads like amateur fan fiction. Overstating the characters' perspectives and reactions as narration rather than making the story express itself.
meh...

Mr Doohan's voice

Would you consider the audio edition of Star Trek: Probe (Adapted) to be better than the print version?

The story was surprisingly good, added to the story from the fourth movie, and Doohan's reading was great!

Who was your favorite character and why?

It makes me want to go back and watch the movie it was based on again.

A great trek!

With this novel don't expect to learn more about the probe it just goes into other information about it and it goes into a bit of redundant information about the major characters as well. The narrator we did very well though.

an interesting Star trek novel.

This story tries to follow up on the mysterious probe from Star Trek 4 the voyage home. It gives a mission and background for the probe while weaving a possible peace talk between the romulans and federation
James Doohan does a fair job narrating and the special effects were good but unnecessary at points.
My only complaint is the end is a little underwhelming but good to end the romulan plot but the probe portion could have been better.

Sequel to Star Trek 4

The story was told exceptionally well by James doing it's a shame that his passing and now the passing of Leonard Nimoy Austin to city of the storytelling I love cats members do the stories
