Kelly Marie Tran is my hero

The story is another fantastic lead in for The Last Jedi. It's such a good set up for Rose and what she was just going through right before the film. Kelly did a wonderful job narrating the story and I hope she is provided the opportunity for more!

Great reading by Kelly Marie Tran!

This book filled in some important information in the timeline between Episodes Seven and Eight.

Good Tie-In

Overall, I liked the story and getting to hear more about the Tico sisters, especially Paige. I felt some of the writing a little weak for this author (a rare criticism!) but Kelly Marie Tran’s performance was great! A good listen and would recommend as a quick read/listen for any Star Wars fan.

A Delightful Side Story to The Last Jedi

With its focus on The Last Jedi character Rose Tico, along with her sister Paige, this novel is a brisk and enjoyable romp yet holds its earnestness, given the Resistance's muted tribulatiins with the First Order. The fact that it's narrated by actor Kelly Marie Tran (she plays Rose in the film) only enhances the heft of this story. It's a worthy addition to Star Wars canon and your library.

Added depth

If you're anything like me, and loved The Last Jedi and Rose, this book will only make you love it more. The audiobook is so well read too!

Enjoyed the insight into Rose

Enjoyed the insight into Rose’s character and her relationship with her sister. I also liked how by the end of the book the reader/listener is aware of how this story fits into the greater Star Wars movie timeline.

Fun little side story

There were a few memorable moments between the sisters and everything that happens is on the sidelines. Just a good relaxing Star Wars book

Filler

Not the best story in the current crop of Star Wars books but certainly not the worst. Filled in some of the back story on the bombers in last Jedi but it didn’t really go anywhere. Worth picking up if you’re a completionist but not if you’re a casual fan
