About this listen

Estranged for years from her father and four brothers after her mother's death, Carson Cartwright is surprised when she gets a phone call from her twin brother, urging a reconciliation before their father succumbs to his final illness. Though she has spent more than a decade trying to forget her family existed, she is suddenly pulled back to the Montana ranch where she grew up.

Carson discovers her brothers divided over plans to change their working ranch into a guest ranch, and their consultant, Kerry Elder, doesn't seem above using her wiles to get her way. Kerry finds that while she may have her clients right where she wants them, it's the wayward sister that may be awakening something she has long denied.

The big Montana sky crackles with thunder and lightning as emotions twist in unbidden directions. Neither Carson nor Kerry is prepared for the wild storms of summer.

Learning to Love

This was a heartwarming story but the love happened extremely fast. One week of great sex and they are in love for life? It would be nice to find someone with this type of connection.

Another hit

*swoons*
Sigh... Gerri does it again.
Great plot, great characters, lighthearted-ish family drama, cayenne pepper sprinkled all over, and well, delicious book lol

Steamy!
I found this story to be quite unpredictable. Very much a page turner.
Good job Ms. Hill.

Cheesey

It's a good book but it reads like a hallmark movie. Not enough drama, no suspense, but if you're just looking to cuddle up with a warm and fuzzy book then this is perfect for you. A book for those who are in love with love, and cowgirls.

Storms

No disappointment with this one. An excellent unique story and narrated by the most excellent narrator. Abby Craden has the ability to bring any author’s characters to life. The interfamily relationships in this book added to the romance element made for a very interesting plot.

Good Story

Loved the story and main characters. My only complaint is the names of the brothers. They were way to simular and it was hard to tell who was who. Abby Craden tried, but even with the different voices I couldn't remember who was the oldest, which one was the twin... it took quite a few chapters.

I feel the one brothers temper storyline ended abruptly with no resolution. Mainly because it specifically involved one of the main characters. It's setup and reveal looked like that was going to be delved into, but then was completely ignored.

Overall though, a good story and nice romance.

Surprised me

I didn’t know what to expect from this book and was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed it and was especially glad that it didn’t follow any typical format and the angst wasn’t driven by miscommunication between the main couple. I really think the character with the “temper” which was much more disturbing than that needed to face some major consequences, but otherwise I was happy with the flow of the story and the HEA for the twins. I had some problems with the speed, toggled back and forth from 1 to .9, but the narration blended well and didn’t affect the story, which makes it fine.

I love this book, I just wish it was longer. The whispers between Carson and Kerry warmed my heart, it was so adorable. You can really feel the love between them.
