About this listen

Astrid is the kind of Hunter that all Hunters aspire to be: lethal, focused, ambidextrous.

In contrast to her disgraced sister, Astrid has done everything right. Now, she’s coming to realize that everything she’s ever known is wrong.

Soren wants to be the kind of Shade that all Shades aspire to be: brave, decisive, powerful.

But his disgraced sister is determined to ruin him, and now there’s a deadly Hunter in his realm, smelling like the most delicious thing he’d ever taste.

And the king wants them to work together.

Can they hold the enemy line with each other? Or will the thin line between love and hate be their undoing?

Superbia is the second book in the Shades of Sin series, featuring humans and their not-quite-human partners. Intended for mature listeners.

Funny

Will Thorne’s narration of Soren was so funny; he brought this character to life in such a hilarious way. Rachel also did a great job with Astrid. The storyline was interesting and unique. Hope there is another book coming in series.

A good Monster romance

I loved the first book in the series and I really liked this one too. I disliked that a few times, the heroine gave into the hero, even though he was the one who pused her away. And I didn't like how one narrator spoke faster than the other, so whenever chapters switched, I had to change listening speed. Otherwise, it was a fun, solid read and I'm excited to read other books in the series.

Wary Beginning Monster Lover but 100 percent an Astrid stan.

I love little miss dangerous. So stubborn, hard headed, and non communicative. Character growth for both Astrid and Soren was great to listen to and read. I loved both of the narrators voices and point of views, however I wish that the spoken dialogue was done by the respective character. The female dialogue for Astrid but continued with male voice over and vice versa depending on point of view.

The story was compelling and sexy and I can't wait to
read and purchase the rest of the series.

I can't help but want to explore more of Allerick's younger brothers romance. I'm excited for the continuation of the series.

Obsessed!

I am obsessed with this series and can not wait to see how the series plays out! I’m really excited to see if Damien will ever find himself a mate or if he turns out to be a bad guy after the throne 😱🤔 so many possibilities!

Great story, but nasally narrator.

I LOVE this story and these characters. I read the book and was excited to also listen to the audiobook. The female narrator almost ruins it, because she is nasally and makes the main female character sound as if she's a bratty, lazy, sulking teenager, and she isn't. She's an intelligent, lethal, grown woman. It is baffling to me why that voice was chosen for this female character.

It wasn’t the first but still…

Admittedly, it’s not as good as the first one. But if you can get past the initial personality of the lead female, and make it to the end highly redeeming.
If you’re in the psychology and you understand why the lead female is as cold and prickly and you’re willing to accept it. It’s cool.
For me it did start to rub me raw and I was really close to putting the book on the back burner because of the “coldness”. Glad it kept having redeeming moments to keep me going.
And oh my goodness the set up for the next book chefs kiss … (well for me anyways) I want the next one!

Excellent narration, okay story

The narration for this sequel is excellent. It totally makes the story. The story itself is good, but it's not as good as the first of the series. I didn't feel that the main characters had good grounds for falling in love. I wasn't convinced. I also didn't feel that some of the hero's behavior was properly addressed and groveled for. There is still some of the wry humor, some of the excitement and tension of the first book, but the romance motto much. I still want to read the blind girl's story.

Holy Hot

Firstly, the narrators are amazing. Both of them. The narrators did a phenomenal job keeping track of all of the different voices.
The book is amazing. It’s an easy read or listen, and yet still such an amazing story. The Shades are sexy AF, also. Anyways, definitely worth the money. 10/10 recommend.
