AI inside a Dreadnought, what could go wrong?

This series is both a stand alone and part of a series. If you haven't read The Kurtherian Gambit Series, I enjoyed it, but it's not required, to understand and enjoy this story. I can't recommend the author or the narrator highly enough. This was a fun, fast paced ride across the universe. I will a warning, if you don't like gratuitous, funny swearing, this books not for you. But if you like fast paced action, good versus evil, Listen to this.

Battleship at foreign port

This is still a young adult-type book, with a simplistic plot, lowbrow humor, unnecessary swearing, and lack of understanding of how real people behave. Nonetheless, there was some suspense and intrigue that kept this entertaining enough. Well-narrated.

too short

I really liked the 1st 2 books but now they are less than 7hrs starting with book 3. I just can't do $25 for not even 7 hrs, come on man, be reasonable.

Disappointed

I came late to the Kurtherian Universe and enjoyed most of the Queen Bitch books. Then I went through the Second Dark Ages 4 books and they have been my favorites so far. Now I'm looking for my next fix and this isn't it.

The first book didn't grab me and this second one is even worse. The characters never become real and are often TSTL. I mean , who in their right mind would take an escape pod to the planet just to save a shuttle "in case" someone else might need it? And as pointed out to her later, for a message she could easily just called and given to him? Doubt I'll give the 3rd book a try in hopes of any of the characters developing into anyone I care to read about.

One hearty thumbs down for these books.

Why is this listed under military sci-fi?

Both book 1 and book 2 are pretty much political and societal in nature. Very little to do with the military. Unless the author is stating that all the cursing is a military norm. I guess if it was listed under something other then military I would have given it a better rating, just not my type of story.
