Publisher's summary

I knew how old she was. I just didn’t care.

Ryker

Aria Amherst lied about her age the first night we met. But when I kissed her...I knew exactly how old she was. And once I kissed her...I needed more.

I wanted all of her. I wanted everything she wasn’t really offering. Until I found out that her father was making a deal with my business partner.

Then I wanted her more.

Aria

Ryker North blew into my life like a wall of hot, tattooed muscle. And did I mention he’s a drummer? And a businessman? And 35 years old?

And my father is going to kill me when he finds out I’m dating his new client. It’s...complicated.

But take my word on this. He’s worth every risk I’m taking.

Sweet Thing is a full-length stand-alone older-man-very-young-woman sexy romance filled with forbidden lust, too many "first times" to count, inappropriate touching in public, and an angsty, but perfect, HEA.

Includes a special note from the author.

Hot and sexy but storyline took shortcuts

The story was really sexy and hot. But the storyline took shortcuts to be convincing. The hero's transition from predator to loving and affectionate is too fast and not convincing.
Make narrator was good. The female was so so. her voice in nice but intonation was sometimes annoying and monotonous.

Age Difference but WOW

I wasn't sure how much I would like this one because of the age gap, but JA Huss manages once again to write a pretty sexy and phenomenal story. I never understood how a much older man could fall in love with someone so much younger so I had my reservations and was intrigued at the same time on how it would be written. Makes me wonder if what I read in books can also be true to life sometimes. Loved the story and the narration.

Surprising

Really enjoyed this book, and the narrators were great. The age gap between the two leads was not really a big deal for me, my own parents had a much bigger age difference between them than in this book, but it was a bit cringe worthy the fact that Aria was still in high school. Having said that though, it was a very hot book. My favorite thing is the interaction between Ryker and Aria, the way he talked to her, and of course it usually led to sex.

Awesome, just awesome this story of Aria and Ryker, JA Hussein has done it again... Loved the chemistry but the story was believable...

Uncomfortable

Omg, I was so uncomfortable listening to this book, but I was invested, and I'm glad I didn't give up. Taboo is the best word to describe this book.

This book puts ‘sweet’ and ‘sexy’

Absolutely fantastic, and I will definitely be re-reading this book a few more times! Beautifully written by the author. Even though it’s about a significantly younger girl with an older guy, this isn’t an unsavory book; it is very much a sweet book!

kind of plain

I didn't feel like the title fit the character. While Aria is naive and innocent, I don't feel like Huss spent any time building up the "sweet" trait. Aria doesn't do anything that is in the realm of helping elderly old ladies or volunteer work at a homeless shelter or serving food on Fridays at a soup kitchen. She just let's her dad chauffeur her around, kisses him on the cheek, and votes yes for an older guy who is hot to belong to a co-op. There is a little sexual tension and I love Huss, but this one was a bit blah for me, especially when I have read so much of her others.

I liked it

It's really hard for me to live a review every time. I listen to a book because I listen to 1 a day. This phone brought back a lot of things from my own childhood. Because my parents had a great distance between their ages.

Female voice is sooo annoying!!!!

The story is good if you don’t mind that he falls for a child. I tried to look beyond but it’s hard. Why couldn’t she be 23 to his 38? Anyway, that aside the female voice just is so hard to listen to, when she isn’t trying for the affect it’s more normal but when she tries sarcasm or self deprecation—-just no. Stop it. Hard pass. I will have to read the book and see if I like it better.

Emma and Christian's voices are hot hot hot

I could listen to them speak about the phone book. Both of them were so good. As far as the story, the only part I didn't care for was that she did sounded like a brat more than a sweet thing in the beginning, I was annoyed with her because even for an 18yr who let someone do what they did then act like a kid. Other than that I liked it, The flow was good, no dead spots of getting bored with the story. I would like to see their story continue "sweet thing 2", maybe add in a 3rd party to their "firsts". Anyways, many ideas of what could be done now that they are just getting started in a relationship.
