About this listen

Linked up and logged into the deadly VMMORPG Sword Art Online in both the real and virtual worlds, Kirito is stuck in a hell of one man's making and, like everyone else, unable to escape until the game is beaten. But while some players are crippled by fear and others throw themselves into completing the game, still others relax into everyday life in the face of their cruel predicament and live to the best of their ability...laughing, crying, but always enjoying the game. Among them are four women who make a mark upon the solo adventurer that Kirito has become: Silica, the beast-tamer; Lisbeth, the blacksmith; Yui, the mysterious orphan; and the tragic Sachi, never to be forgotten by the black swordsman....

If you like SAO and have seen the dubbed anime you will automatically enjoy the audiobooks for the light novels!

I was pleased to see both Kirito and Asuna's original voice actors were narrating, however, I'm confused as to why he isn't reading ALL the guy's voices and she isn't reading ALL the girls voices. Otherwise it's great!

I'm confused by the narration direction.

We love the anime and were really excited to get the audio books! They did not disappoint. The voices of Asuna and Kirito brought rich life to the characters and stories. We eagerly await the next volume!

Oratory was great, the stories had feelings in the telling. I would and will invite friends to check out this format

Love this story in all of its forms.

SAO Volume 2 is a spectacular novel containing four side-stories, chronicling the adventures of players who are not on the front lines of Aincrad. Every story is beautifully written making it hard to put it down.

A wonderful treat!

As a long time fan of SaO, it was extremely surprising to me to press play on this title and hear Asuna start narrating. Even more so to hear Kirito at the final chapter.
Content wise, there's nothing exactly new here. Not always a bad thing though, as this series has proven. We saw all of this in the anime, but in this format we are privy to the characters inner thoughts and feelings which was very enriching to the familiar stories. This time around I did enjoy The Temperature of the Heart story and I felt more strongly the connection Asuna and Kirito had with Yui.

Fantastic!

I’ve read the mangas and watched the anime. I love how well the light novel expands on the characters thoughts and emotions. It provides more in-depth understanding of the characters than what is possible from simply watching the anime

Loved it
