Publisher's summary

After the first taste of her Christmas cookies I wanted to shove the whole thing in my face.

The whole plate of cookies, that is. Not...you know.

Christmas is bad enough without one of The Great Christmas Bake-Off contestants all wrapped up in a bow under my tree.

Er...I meant...Christmas is horrible, right?

Holly

Christmas is like the perfect sugar cookie - it slowly melts in your mouth, sweetening every taste bud, making you wish it could last forever.

I love Christmas! I love the cheerful music, the fun sweaters, and the holiday lights. Most of all I love Christmas Cookies!

Grouchy billionaire Owen Frost is a begrudging bake-off judge, and I refuse to let him hate Christmas. The man is overworked, his employees are uninspired, and his life is seriously lacking in Yuletide cheer. I want to stuff his stocking with sugary goodness to put him in a very festive mood.

But I’m not looking for holiday romance - just to spread a little Christmas cheer. After all, along with being the queen of baking, I am also the princess of bad decision making skills, complete with a failing business and a mound of student loan debt.

And sleeping with Owen, with his washboard abs and big Christmas package would be my worst idea yet.

But when he unwraps me like a perfectly decorated Christmas present and says in that deep, sexy voice, "Can I have another taste of your Christmas cookies?" Well, let's just say Christmas is coming early this year!

Tasting Her Christmas Cookies is a stand-alone holiday romantic comedy. If you love Christmas desserts, like to laugh out loud at holiday innuendoes, and want Santa to put a tall, good-looking guy under your tree, then pick up this full-length, steamy romance novel! There are no cliffhangers but there is a very happy (Christmas!) ever after!

Same story as the first book

I actually had to stop and look at the title to make sure I wasn’t listening to the first book again. Even though I liked the characters I felt bad for them that they didn’t get their own original story. They received a revamp of Jack’s.

Christmas Cookies

Good but very similar story line as first book and honestly just too many graphic sex scenes for me. I like the fun loving light, playfulness of the book and I love the Christmas baking puns.

Holly & Owen

I liked the bake off aspect of the story, This one though a cute storyline it is a bit redundant to the first book. Santa Stalkers or Elf stalkers both creepy. still I liked the narrators and the Dogs and Svensons.

Tasty as Ever

Tasting Her Christmas Cookies is another merry jaunt into the Frost Brothers world. it's time again for the Great Christmas Bake-off sponsored by Owen Frost this time. He is as hapless and hopeless about Christmas as his broIther Jack had been, so naturally a cute baker is just what he needs to get his jingle on and jolly his bells. Holly is a baker who loves Christmas and is desperate to win the Bake-off to pay off her debt accrued to save her grandmother's Christmas items in storage since she passed away. Holly, who has an impressive Instagram following and growing monthly baking subscription business, needs this influx of cash and notoriety that comes from participating and winning the contest to take her beyond debt-ridden, out of work baker to successful, stand on her own two feet entrepreneur. Just like Alina Jacobs other stories, the MCs clash at first. The hero is surly, grumpy, alpha-holish, and anti whatever their heroine is into. Owen is no exception. He is wealthy, arrogant, independent, and miserable (even if he doesn't acknowledge it). The first third of the book was very similar to the first Frost brother book with the bake-off, Instagram influencer, smart and sassy baker, crazy stalker ex, unhinged sibling rival, and an unwilling hero judge. The similarities were so striking at one point I thought I was listening to the same story with the names changed and then the story shifted. It was as if the author began telling Holly and Owen's story in earnest. I know with the. same setting as the previous novel, there were bound to be some crossover scenes or interactions, but what disappointed me was the same drama from the two women who were after Owen seemed nearly identical to the two women who went after Jack. That notwithstanding, this story was laced with all kinds of delicious baking scenarios and Jacobs, once again, outdid herself with the amount of detail and research that must have gone into preparing for that portion of the story. It was impressive! One thing I like about Jacob's heroes is that once they stop fighting the attraction, they go hard after their girl. They work to make them feel desired, beautiful, and satisfied. They are successful at everything else in their lives and their love life is no exception. The Christmas theme is a major contributor to every bit of competition, celebration, love-making, tom-foolery and happiness in which our characters engage. It is Merry and Bright and Alina Jacobs knows how to throw a party. The audio version of this book was very well-done. The actors really nailed Owen's gruffness and Holly's sweetness/slutiness. The minor women voices left a little to be desired., a tad in the whiny side and not nearly crazy enough. But overall the characterization was effective. I would definitely (and ( have) recommend Alina Jacobs to anyone who enjoys off kilter heroines and billionaires who love them. She is a one click author fror me.

Christmas Baking Show Love in The Air!

This story cracked me up! I really enjoyed it a lot. There is A LOT of detail about the baking and what's being baked and how etc. that I just wasn't into (but someone else may love!) but there are also lots of details about Holly and Owen. It was entertaining and enjoyable even with the over the top reactions from so many of the characters. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Sloan and Amber (as well as Diane - Owen's mom) all need some serious evaluation by a psychiatrist or someone similar. I loved that Owen and Holly really hit it off, even though they hadn't talked about the future together. They definitely needed to communicate more, especially toward the end of the bake-off when they started to let their own doubts cloud their judgement and actions. Owen and Holly were both fun characters. I loved how Holly always seemed to be able to get Owen to do things that no one else thought possible. Owen was wonderful with all the ways that he tried to make Holly happy but also tried not to hover too much as well. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book. I also recommend listening to the book. The narrators did a great job. Brian Pallino as Owen was pretty drool-worthy.

Ok

This is the second one of these books I have read from this author. There are far too many cutesy Christmas references to anything sexual and the story goes on and on. Again, there are characters that you don’t really quite hear get wrapped up but I expected that this time.

Disappointing second book

Unlike the fun first book in the series, this one was filled with crude sexual language and redundant sex scenes that did nothing to add to the story. Additionally, the storyline was extremely similar to the first book, with less of the playful banter and mild suspense. Very disappointing!

Grab a mug of cocoa and settle in

This was a fun HEA story. A bit predictable but the characters are interesting so much so Ive now read book 1 & 2 and all of the Svensson Brothers books. I highly recommend. Great spicy sex scenes to heat up cold winter nights.

So sweet

I recieved the audio as an ARC to review.

I already read this book and loved it. The audio just made the story even better. I could listen to Brian read me a phone book with his deep voice.

I'd you read the last book or any by Jacobs this one is just as fun. The men are sexy and grumpy and fall hard for their lady. And Holly was just as cute as ever. I love that the Svennson show up an dcause choas where ever they go.
