Well-read book with lots of useful material

First of all, this audio book is a pleasure to listen to. Not all authors make great readers, but this is a great example of high reading skills.
As opposed to "Getting Things Done" which is a step-by-step implementation manual, "Team" is more of a resource that your team can "shop" from, giving great advice and also good examples from the real world.

I strongly recommend this book - and also the "Getting Things Done" book which gives the individuals a great foundation to build upon.

Great overview of GTD in teams

I had high expectations, and this book met them and exceeded them. Material was clear, succinct, and left me plenty of breadcrumbs leading to further study in all of the areas I needed it.

Love GTD, so so on this book

I have been a GTD adherent for decades and think it is brilliant and required reading for anyone taking their career or a life seriously. I've read David's three books multiple times and each reading reveals new ideas.

This book is okay and includes a general team application of the specifics in GTD. I found the content a bit long. Ed does the vast majority of the dictation with David throwing in a paragraph here and there. I don't expect I'll come back to this one.

if you want to grab a classic while it's still hot from the press...

As a GTD practitioner of 22 years, working with both organisations where i was the sole user and an organization, where everyone knows what a "next action" is, i can attest that this book clearly lays out the best practices and framework for expanding the team-component of GTD to any organisation. Absolutely must for anyone leading a team in this post-pandemic world.

Clarity and focus!

When I first read David Allen's GTD it revolutionized my personal productivity by giving me control and focus through the next actions, project lists, inbox zero, calendar, and horizons of focus. This book, co-authored with Edward Lamont, extends those principles to team settings and offers lots of insights on collaboration.

I liked the section on leadership within teams. It discusses the importance of clarity in roles and responsibilities so that everyone knows who does what and the expected outcomes. The section on delegation is also great, and it explains how to use GTD tools like "agenda for" and "waiting for" lists.

The appendix on hybrid and online work is very timely. It discusses the challenges of remote collaboration and how to integrate technology into teamwork.

I highly recommend "Team: Getting Things Done with Others," including the Audible version, where Edward Lamont does an excellent job narrating. This book is a must-read for anyone looking to enhance team productivity and collaboration through the proven GTD framework.

Clear and simple yet profound

As a GTD fan who has fallen away it was terrific to be reintroduced with a team approach. I’m in spirit pick it back up and apply it to my teams.

No new information unfortunately

This was very disappointing. When you see a GTD title one would expect that the founder would be more involved with the discussion and presentation. David Allen’s input is minimal and anecdotal at best. And while GTD for teams is necessary and critical in today’s environment, little working skills or processes are offered in immediately applicable means. Rather there is review of a few successes in general terms. Rules for communication among teams is at best elementary. I had high expectations and unfortunately there is little that I can offer my team as takeaways. I still feel that I am a solo practitioner without an actionable approach to deploy with a team.
