About this listen

Best friends since sixth grade. A ten-year high school reunion. A truth they've danced around for a decade....

Unlucky-in-love Sophie Perez knows her divorce won't be easy - but she doesn't expect it to be dangerous. So when things get ugly, she agrees to move in with Pete Nicos, her commitment-phobic best friend since childhood. Pete has always been there for Sophie, just like she's been there for him. At first, taking her in seems like the best option, but soon her tantalizing proximity blurs the lines of friendship. With their high school reunion on the horizon will they find closure, forgiveness, and new beginnings?

Ten Year Dance is a contemporary love story and is loosely connected to the internationally award-winning novel Game of Love. Rich with engaging and relatable characters trying to find themselves and each other, Ara Grigorian's latest will stay with you long after you hear the final minute.

Slow Burn with Ten Year Dance

Both the author and narrator were new to me with this listen. I enjoyed the slow burn of friends to lovers. Sophie and Pete had been friends since 6th grade, but never hooked up until after their 10 year high school reunion. Sophie was healing a broken heart after just going through a divorce. Both seemed to have different priorities for where they were in life. I loved it when Pete realized what was truly important. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. The story has love, romance, humor, suspense, and was well written. I would listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Whiney hero

The hero seemed whiney in this narrators voice. The hesitation killed this book for me. The writing was good, the hesitation to make a move or decision by the hero .... just left me frustrated. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

An Addicting Listen

When Sophie's divorce takes a dark turn, she turns to her best friend Pete for help. Sophie and Pete have been best friends since middle school and tell each other everything, or so they think. Pete has been consumed with memories of his high school girlfriend, although he never shared the extent of their relationship with Sophie, and Sophie hasn't shared her own feelings with Pete. With their ten year reunion just around the corner, they both have a second chance to find closure.

This was an addicting listen, a really well written romance that had me hooked. I loved the writing style and the flashbacks to middle and high school days. This is one of those books with a great cast of side characters you want to read more about. I really rooted for Pete and Sophie, two damaged people who've found a way to stay strong together. I'll definitely be keeping an out for more by this author.

The narration was done well and easy to listen to. I requested a copy of the audiobook, and I'm voluntarily leaving a review.
