About this listen

Erin Hunter's number one nationally best-selling Warriors series continues in Warriors: Omen of the Stars!

The first book in this fourth series, Warriors: Omen of the Stars #1: The Fourth Apprentice, brings more adventure, intrigue, and thrilling battles to the epic world of the warrior Clans.

It has been foretold that Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and one other cat will hold the power of the stars in their paws. Now they must wait for a sign from StarClan to tell them which of their Clanmates will complete the prophecy.

The narrator is fantastic at narrating, but his voices he does for all the cats aren’t the best. Most of the girl voices are a little too high and childish, and Jayfeather sometimes sounds like a sniveling henchman type character. However, after the first chapter or so that becomes less concerning, and it’s admirable that the narrator was able to come up with enough distinguishable voices to maintain clarity of who was speaking.

I love the warriors series in general, so of course I’m a little biased and I wouldn’t criticize the material as much as the voicing. This is an intriguing start to a new story arc anyways.

If you struggle to read a book without losing attention or desire an audio book so you can listen while doing other things, I recommend it. Just know that this isn’t necessarily better than simply reading the book.

Voices aren’t the best.

When I was younger, I enjoyed reading these books. Then I got obsessed with another series and left this behind for years. I’m happy to restart from arc 4 and this is an epic book! ✨

I loved the end and how they saved the clans from the drought. Also how LionHeart confesses about the dark forest and what’s happening and what he used to do!👍👍👍
