Story
In a charming cozy mystery series debut, Leslie Nagel's irrepressible small-town heroine finds that her fellow book club members may be taking their Agatha Christie a bit too literally - and murder a bit too lightly.

Loved it!
I liked that the story wasn’t predictable and there is some humor in the story. I can wait to read ‘the rest of the story’ and how all of the books continue the stories.

Compelling and engaging
A most enjoyable reading experience and satisfying albeit predictable conclusion. Following the forensic genealogy process in a story setting encourages personal research in the field.

Interesting story.
I enjoy genealogical research, so I could relate to the "detective work" & slower pace of the story. I enjoyed the story.

A tragedy wrapped up in a romance
Morton and Juliet meet in this novella and the story of their meeting is sweet and modern and reveals much about each of their personalities. The other story in this book is swathed in mystery, supposition and tragedy.
Spoiler alert do not read if you don’t want info that will be a spoiler.
The interesting thing is that the book ends with no solution of the mystery, merely Morton’s thoughts on possible ends. You are left to draw your own conclusions which is both enticing and in my mind very non-North American as we tend to like things tied up in a bow and over explained often. I actually live this about the book and it draws you nicely into the series, which I also love. It’s a terrific series and well worth listening to.

Wish it was longer.
I really liked this book. It had the right mix of intrigue and humor. The performance was great. I wish it was a longer book I finished wanting to hear more.

Underdeveloped Storyline
I liked the premise of the story and enjoy a genealogical mystery/thriller. However, this book left me underwhelmed. I felt the author could have pulled us in better by further developing the characters and storyline.
