I enjoyed this second book in the series much more than the first. Dual POV’s help. It was a great story about opening up, letting go of a difficult past and finding her family. I loved how patient and caring Dax is.

The narrators voices and the story worked in tandem to pull me in from the start, but it’s the storyline that kept me hooked until the end. I was listening to this in every spare moment of my day and even came up with chores for myself so I could keep going 🤣 I absolutely loved the story, loved Abby and Dax, and am excited to listen to/read other books in this connected character series.

I found myself laughing, tearing up at certain moments, and just swooning over the chemistry. I want a Dax in my life.

Read if you’re looking for a second chance romance that goes deeper than surface level. This one will pull you in and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since.
