About this listen

John Aviemore, still mourning the death of his wife, fears he’s heading for another breakdown. In an abandoned cottage, he faces a mystery that grows more terrifying every night. And he’s trapped there.

Trapped in the place where worlds overlap. Trapped in the Blurred Lands.

A disappearing city, a curse that unravels minds and a caged, power-hungry god.

John’s only chance of escape lies with an ancient family secret and a character straight out of a fairy tale.

From the Amazon and Audible best-selling author of the World Walker and Halfhero series comes a fantastical, terrifying journey into a realm we prefer to believe doesn’t exist.

I wasnt sure I'd like this, I did.

The beginning of the book had me wondering If this would be a story I would enjoy, quickly however the story swept me along for a fun ride. Written well enough and performed well too. worth the listen.

Delicious Indeed!!!

Great author and delicious book!! A very nice departure from the HalfHeros series that I also enjoyed immensely. Well done Mr. Sainsbury, I hope there will be a sequel! Thank you so much for sharing your gifts with avid readers of your works.

A pleasant surprise

The summary doesn't give too much away - and this is a good thing.

Part of the enjoyment of a story is finding out where it's going without having a review / synopsis / trailer ruining it for you.

It gives you enough that you want to give it a chance even if you're somewhat apprehensive about it.

I'm glad I did.

Fantastic and original

It is so refreshing to find good, original fantasy that isn't trying to lure you into a ten book series. Doubly so is the fact that it is an old man's story- a man wracked with grief at the loss of his wife and estrangement from his children, thinking about the final phase of his life, finding himself at the center of a conspiracy in a magical world he never knew existed. Performance is great, the storytelling is lovely. One of my favorite of the year.
