About this listen

The gripping sequel to the Amazon Charts bestseller Beach Lawyer.

With the flawless sky above and the boardwalk below, Robert Worth has set up shop on Venice Beach with an eye on Delfina Famosa, his unexpected first client. A whip-smart homeless kid, Delfina reaches out to Robert to keep her father, Teo, out of trouble. The pair claim to be beneficiaries of the seven-figure Famosa trust, and Delfina wants him to have their backs in court. But in a city of illusions, nothing is what it first appears to be.

Robert should be taking his own advice - always keep his professional distance. Yet every sharp turn and revealed secret draws him closer to his clients. And the closer he gets, the greater the danger.

All he wants now is for everyone to get what they deserve. For some, he hopes it’s not too late. For others - they won’t even see him coming.

Mr. Duff you are so cool!

I just finished the 2nd book, in a series, written by this author and I think I might be developing a literary crush! The Beach Lawyer is a great time! The second book is better than the first one and I must say I was pretty crazy about #1. Robert is brilliantly written and if he was a real person I believe we would be friends. Gia is extremely well written too. I can’t wait to read #3!

Great Story—Lawyer On The Venice Boardwalk

Great story. Lots of action and the characters from the first book are front and center. Always nice to read about a lawyer who turns out to help and not take the money. This series can go on and on. Who doesn’t like a lawyer who sets up his office on the Venice Boardwalk and even helps some of the wise guys who try to mess him up. There is intrigue, romance, redemption, and a twisted ending. Just what a good lawyer book should have. I listened in audible and the narrator, James Patrick Cronin, is perfect for all voices.

Better than book one.

Robert Worth is Eddie Flynn minus the street hustler. While the plot comes off as made for the big screen, it is still an awesome read.

Good story and barely okay narration..

This was a pretty good book. Absolutely nothing to do with a courtroom but I still enjoyed it.

It was about Teo and his daughter, nine year old Delfina and the Beach Lawyer and his girlfriend Gia and his best friend, retired cop Erik and his other friend Reyes and the Bulgarian mob. And it was kinda’ like a scavenger hunt near the end of the story as well as murder and attempted murder and a real surprise as to who one of the bad guys were. It keeps your interest all the way through.

Sex was only mentioned and the F-bomb was used 8 times.

As to the narration: James Patrick Cronin was okay. He did good accents but all the women had pretty deep voices.

Unfit for human consumption!

I finished this damned book hoping to find some redeeming quality. Next to espionage thrillers, legal thrillers are my favorite fictional genre. For me The Boardwalk Trust is simply and endlessly boring. In this case it seems to me that narrator James Patrick Cronin has the perfect voice for silent films. I've listened to him before and found him to be excellent. Mine is the first Audible review, but the average of 5 ratings is 3.8 stars. At Amazon the nine reviews average 4.8 stars. At Goodreads 20 ratings average 4.2 stars. Other readers/listeners clearly disagree with my take.

torture

I liked the first one but this has been a struggle. I keep waiting for it to get better but with a couple of hours to go I'm guessing that's not coming. Too much of the kid, too far fetched a story anyway.
