Review of both books

This was so different from anything she's ever written and it was great. The narration of both books was spectacular. I see she is writing Fin 's and Mel's story, but in my opinion their story is like all her other stories, so she should let this jewel of a story stand on it's own.

Good story but unrealistic

So.. I love Penelope sky.. great story, great narration.. I guess i just couldn’t see him giving it all up to start again, from scratch 🤷🏽‍♀️. Just because she said so..
It seemed he did a lot of things just because she said so.. including turn on his brother. I know it was for the greater good.. but I was a bit hurt at some of her actions, and his responses, including when she asked him to kill his brother. I thought he would slap her when she asked him to do so.🤷🏽‍♀️

penelope does it again

This eries is different from others but captivating story line. I love how her mind works as she tells a story. Even though there is graffic details to the setting and part of the plot I fell in love with the main characters as they trusted in each other to bring this story to a peaceful ending.

Love Penelope sky. 1 thing i cant get over though...spoiler!

First i have to profess my love for penelope sky. I absolutely adore her books. She does a perfect mix of dark with love.

***Heres the spoiler***
Why on earth would raven and Melanie go back to their same apartment after burning down the camp and releasing the prisoners? Obviously fender is going to go straight to get them. This drove me crazy through the whole book.
Also:
I just cant forgive fender for the needless “red snow”. I believe his soul could be redeemed but thats between him and GOD. As a fellow human there is no way he could i could forgive him. Honestly he seemed barely sorry. He was a great villain but i feel she wanted us to see him as a reformed bad guy but i dont buy it.

I cant stop thinking about these books and to me that is the sin of a fantastic author n story:))

Magnus & Raven

Audible review. Single POV (Magnus'). Book 2 in The Chateau series. Narrator did an excellent job. Intense edge-of-your-seat kidnapping, enslavement, escape romance. Trigger warnings: kidnapping/drugging; murders; enslavement.

Magnus and Raven fall in love and find their HEA, Fender and Magnus close their drug business, Magnus gave away his money to the enslaved girls and their families, and Fender & Melanie wed. The epilogue finds Magnus and Raven engaged. JP

WOW.... DARK & INSANELY AWESOME

Whoa Penelope, this one packs a serious punch as the nail-biting terror kicks off with a human snatch-and-grab of two sisters followed by human trafficking, a slave labor drug camp, cruel punishments, danger, solitary living with no future and weekly deaths. If you do get this dark, angsty nightmare-fuelled romance, then just go ahead and get book 2 too because you’ll be hooked and deeply invested in the unfolding addictive stress-fuelled suspenseful storyline and it's blossoming romance.

Penelope Sky is one of my favorite authors because I love her creative storylines and her broody dark anti-heroes.. and, in this compelling Duet, Marcus is a mysterious, layered and flawed hero whose love, character growth and sacrifice earned him a place in my heart forever. And Raven’s strength, determination, loyalty and love will be needed to save both of them.. but it isn’t going to be easy for either of them. Because there’s a lot of bridges to cross.. there will be trust issues.. challenges.. difficult choices.. and bloodshed and pain on both sides.. however the happily ever after will be worth the struggle. There’s passion in-between the pain.. death in amongst the drama.. sex nestled on very shaky ground.. and a beautiful love story which blossoms from a nightmare. Book 1 is from Raven’s POV as she tries to protect her sister over and over again and dares an escape. Book 2 is from Marcus’ POV as he tries to sheath his rage and hate for Raven over her selfish actions and betrayal.

Worth a credit? Absolutely yes for both books.. great narration, a riveting dark action-packed storyline, chilling world-building and so so much more.
