About this listen

Why am I here?

My life’s pointless. I was going to Penn before my parents got divorced and stopped paying my tuition. Now I’m back at Big-Mart.

The only positive in my life is Charlotte, my hot girlfriend. Although, if I’m being honest, it’s not going so well. My coworker, Kyle, is a misogynist, but he might be right about Charlotte’s monkey branching, which apparently means she’s still with me, but looking to trade up.

I think she might be interested in our boss. Ron’s been known to “date” the most attractive associates. But I have a plan to turn it all around. I’ve been saving and investing in Bitcoin.

I’m gonna be rich. You’ll see. Then I’ll show everybody.

So many bad decisions.

At the end of this book, the author shares his hope that we found it "entertaining, engaging and thought provoking." It is that and so much more. It is so realistic and relatable. The decisions we make affect us and those around us. What is the meaning of life? A fantastic listen.

The narrators Tristan Wright and Mia Valyn are just the best. They make the characters so real and believable. Great job! 5 stars plus for them as well.

Absorbing Contemporary Story

This story captivated my interest from the beginning until the end, and I listened to the full audiobook in one sitting. The author populated his tale with complex characters. There were so many twists and ups and downs that I never quite knew where the story was going. I found the book fascinating as the subject of Bitcoin was explored. Listening to the story engendered a myriad of emotions as I went through what the characters experienced. Tristan Wright's and Mis Valyn's dual narrations were skillful, and their performances enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

OUTSTANDING!!

I thoroughly enjoyed The Cart Pusher by Phil Williams. This is such a good book with a realistic and believable plot and characters. The protagonist (Scott) is a college student at Penn State. The problems for him begin when neither his father or stepfather pay his tuition even though both had agreed in their divorce settlements from his mother. Neither has the funds since they’ve both committed themselves to much younger women. His sister is making money hand over fist as an instagram influencer and he later finds out she’s selling herself on Only Fans but that doesn’t help him either. His girlfriend is unsympathetic and dumps him. So Scott does what every young man in his position would do, he invests what little money he has in Bitcoin!?! At first his money goes up and although he’s gotten involved with another young woman when his old girlfriend propositions him he can’t resist. What’s a young man knowing he’s being used to do now? My suggestion: get the book to find out what happens in this all too real story.

I wanted to add that although I received this book for free from the author I have purchased ALL of his other books. This is a talented author and his books are worth every credit I have spent!

Tristen Wright and Mia Valyn do a great job narrating.
This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!
