About this listen

Mission: nearly impossible. As the Head of Ranch Security, Hank the Cowdog has seen his share of tough weather. So when a raging, swirling blizzard shuts down the ranch and Hank is stranded out at Slim's cabin, he isn't fazed one bit. At least, not until a phone call from the ranch house brings an emergency directive: someone's got to deliver Slim's cough medicine to Baby Molly. When Slim's truck gets stuck in a snowdrift, it's up to Hank to save the day. But a blinding blizzard is no place for a dog, even one as tough as Hank...

Rip and Snort sing "We Don't Give a Hoot" and Hank does a touching ballad called "Oh Flee, My Love".

Touching

Usually Hank is portrayed as a comically selfish dumbbell ,and most likely that is why he's so well loved ,I enjoy this book especially because it shows that Hank is able to put others before himself. ❤️

Another winner from John Erickson!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is the best series for BOTH adults and children who like a good story! John Erickson writes a terrific story, full of wit and humor, replete with malapropisms and spoonerisms that all ages find delightful! He truly knows the heart - a "mind" - of a dog.

Hank the Cow dog review

This is a great way to get the whole family together and laughing at the same time. There was really nothing bad about it and Mr Erickson did an amazing job at everything, including the narrating. I would like to recommend this book for all ages that understand the English language.

Background Music

My family and I enjoy Hank the Cowdog books. They are great for road trips because it makes us laugh.

However this particular audiobook has too much background music noise. It’s absolutely a very distracting addition to the audiobook. We can’t even focus on the humor.

Please reconsider and do not add the extra background music/noise.
