Riley/Audrey is delusional most of this story. Odd because I saw no evidence of it in previous books in this series.
So hard to get through first half. But it ended well.

Good listening!

I've liked this series, but dear gaaaaawd, how long does this psych ward depressing drug addled tear-filled part of the book last??? I don't know if can finish this. What does this have to do with the plot? I guess it's distopic.

The psych ward takes waaaaay tooooo loooooong

At some point, this is just dragging on so much it feels like a money grab. Eventually I just fast forwarded through all the psych ward stuff. Also, there are several inconsistencies in these books, more than I can count. How does the author not remember their back story on things?

Skipped 4 hours of this one

Yeah… I’ll admit this is the book that can be skipped in the series. That’s not to say it’s not a good book… because it is. It just isn’t on the same level as the other books and there is a lot of emotional turmoil going on for Riley/Audrey. It’s cool to see representation of mental health in books but in this case I think that it was just filler lol. Skip it if you want (you won’t miss much) read it if you want (you’ll understand the protagonist a bit better)

Meh

Although I enjoyed this book, I was not as impressed with this book as the previous books. The mental health issues lasted way too long and made the main character too weak for too long. I understand your main character having struggles but this one struggled too much. I look forward to the next book in the series and hope that Riley bounces back. I struggled to finish this book.

Not the best of the series

This one wasn't as fun as the previous ones but still captivating enough to cultivate the desire for more. Onward! to the last book!

Not the best is the series but a welcomed addition

struggled through 75%, way too much mental illness focus. i don't need 15 word to get my point accross.

struggle

At first I didn't understand the beginning. I realized that everything that had happened to Riley had actually broken her. Her mental health and delusional visions were actually very realistic.
Rileys struggle to get back to reality and recognize the severe panic attacks made her stronger and less wreckless. I ended up loving the book. The narrator was spot on and the storyline very believable.

Book 4 of the series

The other books weren't exactly cheerful but this is a while different level, should have speed through some of it so it wasn't so intense.

Depressing, be ready

I was so disappointed in the mental hospital portion of this book. it lasted way too long. literally hours. I thought she was supposed to be a strong woman and suddenly she couldn't handle anything at all. I almost had to quit listening. I hope she continues to bounce back as a character and there isn't a repeat in the next book...

unpleasant story twist
