Secrets usually aren’t good

I really liked the characters of Elizabeth and David. So much determination in David. I was rooting for them all the way. I am glad it ended the way it did. Very relaxing story to listen to. I was interested the whole time, never a dull moment.

Secrets at Christmas

A short Christmastime story of late 1800's Pennsylvania, when days were supposedly simpler . . . a bittersweet tale of a long buried family secret threatens to ruin the Christmas holidays of two families, the Cannings and the Stinners. As the time draws near to their Christmas Eve wedding, Elizabeth discovers a secret written in a very old diary in the cabin where her parents once lived, she flees to the refuge of her grandparents' home . . . this story is a wonderful one for the holidays . . . clean, thoughtfully written, full of Christian values . . . but not sugar-coated . . . for sin was alive and well in the 1800's, just as it is today . . . and its much easier to run from our fears than to face them, as Elizabeth learned . . . her fiance, David turns out to be a brave young man . . . enjoy this tale of two families and how they learn to deal with loss and pain . . . and still be brave enough build a future . . .
