Or are you a wizard in search of forgotten lore? One visit to our Ancient Library will reveal you many a great mystery!

Performing deeds of online valor is the last thing on Oleg's mind, though. Neither does he care about any ancient lore. He's never trusted adventure, anyway. Excellent LitRPG series!

Any additional comments?

This is one of the first LitRPG series I got into and its still one of my favorite. Its got an excellent narrator and the story really pulls you in and has you caring about the character. I always look forward to a new book in the series and will buy them all.

Great story, excellent narration

I'm eager to hear the rest of this adventure. Well done!
The self-narration of the story converts well to audio, and the narrator does a great job.

same same

but different...

I'm starting to be a little confused that he claims to do all this for his daughter and yet not a single scene with her so far...

only half as good as first book.

He worried about hiding his leveling far too much. Nearly every other paragraph was an inner monologue about no can find out how powerful or talented my character is. Plus he never worked for any achievements. All the rewards or benefits literally were handed to him. Where he then ignores them constantly. His lack of any gaming knowledge get insultingly annoying to me as a reader of this genre. Like his brother and every character he befriends tells him... Learn about the world you are in.

story gets better, narattor still anoyingly slow

Any additional comments?

For a second book in a series its good, the story gets better, main character gets more debt. only thing that annoys me is that the narrator is reading a bit slow.

More intrigue and loot

This next book takes us to a totally different part of the world with new characters, new areas, and new history to explore. There are many powerful people and clans interested in our Olgard and it’s not clear what will happen until the very end. Speaking of the end, we get some interesting explanation of the purpose behind why the main character is leveling so quickly.

Overall, I’m really enjoying this series and don’t think the reviews do the series justice. I would have happily enjoyed this series long ago if I’d had the sense of how well it’s written. While not my favorite litRPG series ever, this one ranks among the top 10.

Great series!

I liked the second book much more than the first so stick it out with the series even if you thought the first book was only ok, it does get much better. Where the first book goes between real life and the game, I really enjoyed this one focusing almost entirely on Mirror World. I am very much looking forward to book 3 and am happy I started this series!
