Publisher's summary

Ax and the Animorphs are about to have a huge problem. It starts when they decide to morph into mosquitoes in order to slip by some unsuspecting Yeerks, and ends with them stuck in Zero-space with no idea how they got there, no way back to Earth...and no oxygen.

Luckily, an Andalite scout ship finds them before it's too late. But now Ax is finally with his own people. And he doesn't know if he ever wants to go back to Earth.

Great one for the series!

Ax books are usually pretty good, and this is one of his best. There is a LOT in this book to unpack, but it really hits on all the points of the series: morality, sci-fi, war, alien culture, animals....the list goes on. This book really starts a solid line of great entries in the series.

Better And Better

This is the step forward I've been wanting with Ax's character development. It's very interesting how the voice actor delivers Ax totally differently than then how he's portrayed in the other books. It helps to really separate how the other characters see Ax, versus how he sees himself.

This installment is definitely an emotional roller coaster for our blue boy and sometimes I feel like the other characters are also presented differently from his perspective than they usually are in their own stories.

More so this story is ramping up some really cool sci-fi that I have been hoping they would get to.

Great performance

This reader sounds exactly how I would have imagined Ax sounding! Great job on this one.

Variety

Adam does a good job narrating. This was the first full book narrated by him that I listened to. I kinda wish he would use more varied voices for the different characters like the other Animorphs narrators do, though. Raise his pitch more for Rachel and Cassie.

not sure

the writing itself is getting worse not better. and Rachel is just such a s*** character. Seriously the worst kind of person. everybody else's characters are not developing in anyway same old same old literally like publishing a book again and again and again
