About this listen

The official novelization of the summer blockbuster Godzilla: King of the Monsters, the latest film in the MonsterVerseTM franchise, starring Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, with Ken Watanabe and Ziyi Zhang.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters follows the heroic efforts of the cryptozoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super species, thought to be mere myths, rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

A Thrilling Adventure, Extra Scences

This book was one of the rate treasure fans love, a novel that tells the story of the film and expands upon it bringing new scenes and a better understanding of what happened. It fills in the gaps and answers many question poses by the film. If you are a Toho film fan and have seen Godzilla, King of the Monsters, the film is a love letter to those of us who grew up with the Godzilla films. Special touches and elements are included here that harken back to those films. The events surrounding the ORCA make more sense in the book, since the extras were cut from the film. I hope the film will have a directors cut when released on Blu -ray. A gripping, thrilling story that was enhanced by the audiobook. A must for Godzilla fans. Audiobook version was great.

the book is better than the movie.

the movie forgot to connect a lot of the story. the audio book clears up so much. it makes you wonder why the story was so deluded in the movie.

Life long Godzilla fan.

This book is a much more in depth version of the movie and actually makes me wish they had included all the extra scenes and dialogue that's in this book into the movie itself as well. Loved it.

Minor warning

A very thrilling adaption if a thrilling movie, but parents and kids beware of frequent language.

All Monsters Attack

The King is here. Godzilla's presence in the Monsterverse has changed the world and this novel expands upon the film and adds more detail that a film is not able to go into. With added scenes of various characters not seen in the film, including one of Kong, this is a good adaptation and the narration by Michael Braun helps bring it to life.

Godzilla done justice

An excellent novelization of the movie. Voice acting is great and the atmosphere is expressed very well. Would recommend for anyone, Godzilla fan or Not.

It was a pretty good book better movie.

Personally I didn't watch the whole movie because I had to go to bed but from what I saw of the movie it was pretty good. I decided to get this book because it was cheap and I like a good Sci-Fi book. Honestly the story is not bad it's pretty cliche sometimes. But explains the monsters really well. The characters aren't annoying. It was definitely a good listen to... I don't think I'll listen to it again. It is a good once go through.

For fans of Godzilla

For fans of Godzilla I recommend. The narration is great but the story is almost a 1 for 1 translation from movie with very little added. Although it is of course a novelization of the movie I was hoping for more insight into characters motivations but you only get snippets. There are a couple nice scenes added and Monarch notes are cool.
