‘An intense mystery which moves and twists and left me always off-balance. Full of foreboding and vivid characters’ James Delargy

‘Had me not only staying up late to read, but for the first time ever, waking up early too’ Fliss Chester, author of the Fen Churche Mysteries

‘A claustrophobic journey that will have you constantly reevalauting what, and more importantly who, you can put your faith in. Messed with the mind in all the right ways’ Robert Scragg, author of the Porter & Styles series

I don't understand others reviewing this book so negatively. I guess I can agree that it starts a little slow but it's important to get the backstory on the main character's personality. After that I didn't want to stop listening! I usually listen to audiobooks only while doing repetitive work but I found myself carrying my phone everywhere to keep finding out what would happen. I truly found this to be a suspenseful thriller and just don't understand others rating it so low!

Great suspense/ thriller!

Don't waste your credit people. This book was so bad I had to write my very first review to warn others. Don't do it... go find something else ... anything else!

I never write a review this was so bad I had to

Oh man, I REALLY wanted to like this book. I had such high hopes for it after reading the summary for it.
It was not at all what I expected. The book overall was very slow. I think about chapter 7 is when I had the “okay, this is going to get good now” thought, but that was short lived. 🫤

There was multiple things I didn’t like about The Drug Trial:
•The writing style/format- wtf what was that? Why is there Parts, chapters and then numbered sections within the chapters???? 😵‍💫 like was it supposed to have “scenes”- no. Annoying. Hated it. 🗑️
•All of the characters felt so plain to me…they were underdeveloped and I honestly didn’t remember who was who even with names being said.
•The idea of a drug trial gone wrong was so intriguing and I expected some wild stuff to happen, but nothing ever did.
•Also why was there a weird love story thrown in here?? Could’ve done without it. It just felt weird being apart of the plot.

I would not recommend this book, I’m not sure why I even finished it. I’m just sad because I do feel as if this could’ve been a GREAT story.

Absolutely skip this one
