H. P. Lovecraft
Lavinia Whateley, a deformed and unstable albino mother, gives birth to her hideous son, Wilbur Whateley, in an isolated village called Dunwich. The Whateley's come in three varieties: stable, semi stable, and decrepit. Lavinia, Wilbur, and the grandfather are of the latter variety. The grandfather has a very unhealthy interest in dark rituals and witchcraft, which he passes on to Wilber. When the mother disappears the subject of matricide comes up, but the locals are reluctant to probe into the ways of Wilber, who before he was 15 has reached a height of nearly seven feet tall, with a rather goatish appearance. If they thought Wilbur was scary, you can imagine their chagrin when they meet the thing locked in the closet. Yog-Sothoth may ring a familiar note with H. P. Lovecraft fans.
