About this listen

In Allison Sekemoto's world, there is one rule left: Blood calls to blood.

She has done the unthinkable: died so that he might continue to live. Cast out of Eden and separated from the boy she dared to love, Allie will follow the call of blood to save her creator, Kanin, from the psychotic vampire Sarren. But when the trail leads to Allie's birthplace in New Covington, what Allie finds there will change the world forever - and possibly end human and vampire existence.

There's a new plague on the rise, a strain of the Red Lung virus that wiped out most of humanity generations ago - and this strain is deadly to humans and vampires alike. The only hope for a cure lies in the secrets Kanin carries, if Allie can get to him in time.

Allison thought that immortality was forever. But now, with eternity itself hanging in the balance, the lines between human and monster will blur even further, and Allie must face another choice she could never have imagined having to make.

A Fantastic Narrator!

This narrator is so talented! The book is good enough but the narrator makes it so much better. She has feeling in her voice, even during mundane thoughts or actions.

Descriptions do not do this series justice!

Right now, I am waiting for the third book in this series due out next month, (April 15th), and debating whether or not to listen right away, or wait a while and then start the series from the beginning. Hmmmmm. Decisions, decisions.

I don't think I can wait. The first two were that good.

I really loved the phenomenal performance by Therese Plummer. She really brought this series to life. I wish she read more of my favorite books. She's perfection.

A very good plot, but too many repetitions

A very good story, but the author had too many word repetitions as well as too many instances where she repeated events or thought processes that the reader already knew about. This got quite annoying by the end of the book.

WOW!!!

Be prepared for a rollercoaster of emotions! you will not be able to stop listening to the audible. Oh the betrayal and fear and hope and love all bundled together. Can't wait to see how story ends. the narrator puts a lot of emotion into her reading but doesn't overwhelm the listener. you will not be disappointed in the Blood of Eden series.

Excellent Sequel, but you know what's coming

What made the experience of listening to The Eternity Cure the most enjoyable?

I really enjoyed hearing more about Allie and her growth as a vampire. I was also excited to hear more about Kanin and Sarren. They didn't get enough of a presence in the first book, so I loved that this book included more of them and their history.

What did you like best about this story?

The emotional roller coasters that the characters go through, their development, is all very realistic and relatable. I get very frustrated when characters have no growth whatsoever or make odd leaps in how they think or feel. In this book, the characters all struggle, both with themselves and others, in ways that progress naturally.

What does Therese Plummer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Therese Plummer is very good at portraying the emotional states of her characters without going over the top. She also does the male voices superbly. A lot of times narrators have difficulties with voices of the opposite gender, but Therese gives each person their own voice and character that makes for excellent listening.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This wasn't a book that had me so drawn in that I would want to listen to it all at once. Although, there were parts where I dreaded having to stop it because I needed to listen to it just 5 minutes more.
