About this listen

What happened after? The riveting sequel to The Firm, the blockbuster thriller that launched the career of the world’s bestselling author.

What became of Mitch and Abby McDeere after they exposed the crimes of Memphis law firm Bendini, Lambert and Locke and fled the country?

The answer is in The Exchange.

It is now fifteen years later, and Mitch and Abby are living in Manhattan, where Mitch is a partner at the largest law firm in the world. When a mentor in Rome asks him for a favour that will take him far from home, Mitch finds himself at the centre of a sinister plot that has worldwide implications – and once again endangers his colleagues, friends and family.

Mitch has become a master at staying one step ahead of his adversaries, but this time there's nowhere to hide.

Boring

Worst ever book from John Grisham it was so boring and disappointing some times it’s just best to stick to part one and leave part two alone

Big fan of JG

Disappointed. Not the same depth or character development as his other works, the author of great books like The Guardians and Grey Mountain has delivered a relatively superficial read lacking substance.
Having read everything he publishes, this is the first time I wish I had not wasted a credit.

Not Grishams best

The story was flat …not well researched. It’s time for Grisham to put Mitch into retirement and introduce his readers to new and more interesting characters.

A new adventure with old characters.

This was an engrossing, tense race against time hostage situation. Well told, narration a bit curt.

Disappointed

Poor sequel to the Firm and not a great story in its own right.

Poor

Not great at all in my opinion. Compared to the firm the storyline is thin

Waste of money

I cannot believe that John Grisham wrote this book I suggest he reads the criticisms from his fans and perhaps thinks very very deeply before writing another book i’m delighted that that wonderful narrator Scott brick didn’t waste his time narrating this book

You can leave Mitch out

You can replace Mitch with another character and it won’t affect the story a bit. The only link to the Firm was the reunion in the beginning which don’t lead to any plot and the money hidden in the Cayman Islands mentioned almost at the end of the book, which have not much significance either.
