Very realistic

I found the characters to be very well-developed. They battle with alcoholism in a way that is realistic and overall it was an entertaining book

So surprised

I loved this book! It's not my normal genre of murder mysteries but I was in between books and this author is one of my faves. I spent the credit and I'm so glad I did. This book is about 2 women from opposite sides of the tracks but have a common bond that seals their friendship. I didn't want to stop listening! The narrator was excellent also!

A Great Read

I enjoyed the book! I thought the narrator was very good and told the story very well. This is not a Kim Stone murder mystery. But the bewilderment of daughters who are neglected emotionally, who cannot understand why their efforts to be loved are ignored by their mothers and what befalls them is authentic. Mother’s boyfriend who rapes and teen aged pregnancy do occur. Teen prostitution happens. How two women, one poor, one rich come together in an AA situation and grow together is poignant. The Forgotten Woman was a very satisfactory read!

I'm hooked

I now can't get enough of Angela Marsons but will have to wait for more! I only they I had not survived her sooner. I went with the"name brand" authors who are great but Ms Marsons depth and emotional realism are not comparable. Alison Campbell is just as good so I will pass the time waiting by listening to more books she narrates.

I Managed to Finish

I didn't love it . Too much going on. Narator ok; maybe I'd like the story better if I'd read it.

Not what I was expecting

Would you try another book from Angela Marsons and/or Alison Campbell?

Yes

What could Angela Marsons have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

It was too obvious- the whole story. It was unbelievable that Kit changed her life so quickly- wasn't there a waiting list to get in at the half way house? Every plot seemed very amateurish. It seemed like it was written by a high school student in an advanced writing class.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Nothing
